9. Troubleshooting

  • SSD Not Recognized:
    - Ensure the M.2 SSD is correctly installed and fully seated in the slot.
    - Verify that the enclosure is securely connected to your computer via the USB cable.
    - For new SSDs, ensure it has been initialized and formatted through your operating system's disk management tools.
    - Confirm that your SSD is a compatible type (NVMe M Key or SATA B&M Key) and not an unsupported type like B Key SATA or PCIe AHCI.
    - Try connecting the enclosure to a different USB port or another computer to rule out port or system issues.
  • Slow Transfer Speeds:
    - Ensure your computer's USB port supports USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) for NVMe SSDs or USB 3.2 Gen1 (5Gbps) for SATA SSDs. Older USB 2.0 ports will significantly limit speeds.
    - Check if the SSD itself is capable of the advertised speeds.
    - Use the provided high-quality USB cables, as generic cables may not support high data rates.
    - Close any background applications that might be consuming significant system resources or disk I/O.
  • Blue Indicator Not Lighting Up:
    - Check the USB connection to ensure it is firm and providing power.
    - Re-seat the SSD inside the enclosure to ensure proper contact.

10. User Tips

  • For optimal performance, always connect the enclosure to a USB 3.2 Gen2 compatible port on your computer.
  • Remember to safely eject the drive from your operating system before physically disconnecting it to prevent potential data loss or corruption.
  • Utilize the included thermal pads during installation to help maintain lower operating temperatures for your SSD, especially during extended use or large file transfers.
