5. Setup Guide
The SSK M.2 SSD Enclosure features a tool-free design for easy installation.
- Open the Enclosure: Gently slide open the enclosure cover. For Model HE-C371, slide the cover in the direction of the arrow. For Model HE-C370, the cover may slide or unclip depending on the specific design.
- Insert the M.2 SSD: Align your M.2 SSD with the slot inside the enclosure. Insert the SSD at a 45-degree angle into the M.2 slot.
- Secure the SSD: Push the SSD down gently until it is flat. Use the provided screw (if applicable, some models use a clip) to secure the end of the SSD into the designated groove. Ensure the screw is firmly in place to prevent movement.
- Close the Enclosure: Slide the enclosure cover back until it clicks into place or is fully closed.
- Connect to Host Device: Use one of the provided USB cables (USB Type-C to Type-C or USB Type-A to Type-C) to connect the enclosure to your computer or other compatible device.

6. Operating Instructions
Once the SSD is installed and the enclosure is connected to your device:
- Power Indicator: The blue LED indicator will light up when the enclosure is powered on and connected. It will blink during data transfer, indicating activity.
- New SSD Formatting: If you are using a brand new SSD, it will need to be initialized and formatted before it can be used. This process is typically done through your operating system's Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (Mac OS). Follow your OS instructions to format the drive.
- Data Transfer: You can now drag and drop files to and from the SSD enclosure as you would with any other external drive.
- Safe Ejection: Always safely eject the drive from your operating system before physically disconnecting the enclosure to prevent data corruption.

9. Troubleshooting
- SSD Not Recognized:
- Ensure the M.2 SSD is correctly installed and fully seated in the slot.
- Verify that the enclosure is securely connected to your computer via the USB cable.
- For new SSDs, ensure it has been initialized and formatted through your operating system's disk management tools.
- Confirm that your SSD is a compatible type (NVMe M Key or SATA B&M Key) and not an unsupported type like B Key SATA or PCIe AHCI.
- Try connecting the enclosure to a different USB port or another computer to rule out port or system issues. - Slow Transfer Speeds:
- Ensure your computer's USB port supports USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps) for NVMe SSDs or USB 3.2 Gen1 (5Gbps) for SATA SSDs. Older USB 2.0 ports will significantly limit speeds.
- Check if the SSD itself is capable of the advertised speeds.
- Use the provided high-quality USB cables, as generic cables may not support high data rates.
- Close any background applications that might be consuming significant system resources or disk I/O. - Blue Indicator Not Lighting Up:
- Check the USB connection to ensure it is firm and providing power.
- Re-seat the SSD inside the enclosure to ensure proper contact.
10. User Tips
- For optimal performance, always connect the enclosure to a USB 3.2 Gen2 compatible port on your computer.
- Remember to safely eject the drive from your operating system before physically disconnecting it to prevent potential data loss or corruption.
- Utilize the included thermal pads during installation to help maintain lower operating temperatures for your SSD, especially during extended use or large file transfers.
