The ALLOYSEED Smart Padlock is available in two main models, each with optional Tuya APP connectivity:

• SY12 Fingerprint Lock: Unlocks using registered fingerprints. Available with or without Tuya APP functionality.
• SY13 Password Lock: Unlocks using a numeric password. Available with or without Tuya APP functionality.

6.1. Initial Power-Up

When you receive the product, locate the battery compartment (usually on the back). Tear off the plastic film on the batteries to energize the product. The padlock should now be ready for initial use.

6.2. Tuya APP Setup (for models with Tuya APP)

1. Download Tuya APP: Scan the QR code provided in the original manual or search for "Tuya Smart" in your mobile app store to download and install the application.
2. Connect Bluetooth: On the padlock, press any random number button for approximately 3 seconds. The blue light on the padlock will illuminate, indicating it is in pairing mode.
3. Add Device in App: Open the Tuya Smart App on your smartphone. Click the "+" icon in the upper right corner, then select "Add Device" to search for your padlock.

Note: If the user deletes all devices from the Tuya App while the padlock is connected, the padlock will be restored to factory settings.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1. Default Password Unlocking (SY13 Password Lock)

The factory default password for the SY13 Password Lock is 123456. To unlock:

1. Enter the default password (123456) using the numeric buttons.
2. The blue light will be on after pressing each number.
3. If the password is incorrect, the red light will flash for one second.
4. If the password is correct, the green light will flash for one second, and the padlock will unlock automatically.

7.2. Fingerprint Unlocking (SY12 Fingerprint Lock)

To unlock using a fingerprint:

1. Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor.
2. The padlock will scan your fingerprint.
3. If the fingerprint is recognized, the green light will flash, and the padlock will unlock. If not, the red light will flash.

7.3. Tuya APP Unlocking (for models with Tuya APP)

Once paired with the Tuya APP, you can unlock the padlock directly from your smartphone. Refer to the Tuya APP interface for specific unlocking procedures, which typically involve selecting the padlock and tapping an unlock icon.

7.4. Managing Fingerprints/Passwords via Tuya APP

For Tuya APP enabled models, you can add, delete, or modify fingerprints and passwords directly through the app interface. Consult the Tuya APP's help section for detailed instructions on user management.

8. Maintenance

8.1. Battery Replacement

The padlock uses two CR2032 button batteries. When the battery is low, the padlock may indicate this with a specific light pattern or through the Tuya APP. To replace the batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the back or side of the padlock.
2. Open the compartment using a small screwdriver or coin if necessary.
3. Remove the old CR2032 batteries and insert new ones, ensuring correct polarity.
4. Close the battery compartment securely.

After replacing the batteries, the padlock should resume normal operation.

8.2. Cleaning

Wipe the padlock with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components.

9. Troubleshooting

9.1. Abnormal Operation

If the product exhibits abnormal behavior (e.g., not unlocking, unresponsive buttons):

1. Try to open the lock several times using your usual method.
2. If the issue persists, replace the button cell batteries with new ones and try again.

9.2. Factory Data Reset

To restore the padlock to its factory default settings (clearing all registered fingerprints and custom passwords):

1. Long press the number key "9" until the blue light illuminates.
2. Continue holding for approximately 6 seconds until the red light blinks.
3. While the red light continues to flash, enter the password (if applicable, or follow the specific reset sequence for your model).
4. If the password is entered correctly, the light sequence will change from green-yellow-green. This indicates that the password is cleared, and the device is restored to factory settings.

10. User Tips

• Tuya App Re-pairing: If you change your smartphone or reinstall the Tuya app, you may need to re-pair the padlock with the new app installation. In some cases, a factory reset might be required if the app fails to recognize the lock after a phone change.
• Battery Film: Always remember to remove the plastic insulating film from the batteries before first use to ensure the padlock powers on.
• Low Light Unlocking: The smart padlock is designed for easy unlocking even in low light environments, eliminating the need for external lighting.
