Upon opening your package, please ensure all the following items are included:

4. Setup & Installation
4.1 Powering On
To power on the padlock, locate and remove the plastic film on the back of the lock. This will activate the system.
4.2 Battery Installation/Replacement
The padlock uses a CR2032 button cell battery. To install or replace the battery:
- Use a slotted screwdriver to gently open the cell lid on the back of the padlock.
- Insert the CR2032 battery with the anode (positive side) facing up and the cathode (negative side) facing down.
- Close the cell lid securely.

4.3 Environmental Considerations
The padlock has a strong waterproof performance with an IP67 rating, meaning it can be used normally even when exposed to rain or splashes. However, avoid prolonged submersion.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Initial Unlock
In the initial mode, any skin contact with the fingerprint recognition area (for fingerprint models) or inputting the default password (for password models) on the lock will automatically unlock it.
5.2 Fingerprint Management (for Fingerprint Models)
First Fingerprint Registration:
- After unlocking the device with any fingerprint (initial mode), continue to press and hold the fingerprint recognition area for about 5 seconds.
- The blue light will come on. Release your finger.
- Click on the fingerprint recognition area multiple times consecutively to register the fingerprint.
- Continue clicking until the light goes out and stops. At this point, the registration has been successfully completed.
Deleting All Fingerprints:
- After successfully unlocking the device with a registered fingerprint, continue to press and hold the fingerprint recognition area.
- The color of the light during the long press will change.
- When the light changes from blue to white and then to red, release your finger. All fingerprint information will be successfully deleted.

5.3 Password Management (for Password Models)
Default Password:
The default password is 123456. Input this password to unlock the device initially.

Registering a New Password:
- Input the current password (factory default password) to unlock the device.

999999. The green light will turn on. - Input your desired 6-digit password.
- The green light blinking indicates that the password has been successfully set.
Deleting All Passwords:
- Input the current password to unlock the device.
- Input
777777. The red light will turn on. - Input the unlock password again.
- The green light turning on indicates that all passwords have been cleared, and the device has reset to factory default. If verification fails, the device will exit the setting mode.
5.4 Tuya APP Control (for Tuya APP Models)
For models that support the Tuya APP (SY-12-TF and SY-12-TP), fingerprint or password setup and management are performed via the Tuya or Smartlife app using Bluetooth connectivity. Ensure your phone is near the lock for successful setup.
For models that do not support the Tuya APP (SY-12-F and SY-12-P), follow the instructions in sections 5.2 and 5.3 for fingerprint and password management.
6. Maintenance
The padlock is designed for long-term use with a standby time of up to 12 months on a single CR2032 battery. When the battery is low or depleted, replace it following the instructions in section 4.2. Use common and inexpensive CR2032 batteries for replacement.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any malfunction or difficulty unlocking the device, please try the following steps:
- Attempt to unlock the device several more times using the appropriate method (fingerprint, password, or APP).
- If the issue persists, replace the CR2032 button cell battery as described in section 4.2. Ensure the battery is inserted correctly (anode face up, cathode face down).
- After replacing the battery, try unlocking the device again.
If you have forgotten your password and the default password does not work, or if the lock is unresponsive even after battery replacement, please refer to the password reset instructions in section 5.3 (Deleting All Passwords) or the fingerprint deletion instructions in section 5.2 (Deleting All Fingerprints) to restore factory defaults.
8. User Tips
- Fingerprint Capacity: The padlock can store up to 10 unique fingerprints.
- APP Compatibility: For models SY-12-TF and SY-12-TP, use the Tuya or Smartlife application for advanced features and remote management.
- Password Reset: If you need to change your password, follow the 'Registering a New Password' steps in section 5.3. If you've forgotten it, you may need to delete all passwords to reset to factory default.
