3. Operating Instructions
- Start Vehicle: Turn the car key to the start position to attempt to start the vehicle.
- Retry if Necessary: If the car does not start immediately, wait several seconds before attempting to start it again. Repeat this process until the car successfully starts.
- Disconnect Cables: Once the car has started, immediately pull the storage battery plug from the jump starter power supply. Then, carefully remove the black (-) clip from the car battery, followed by the red (+) clip.
4. Troubleshooting (Intelligent Clamp Specific)
The Intelligent Clamp model may emit a beeping sound under certain conditions. This is a safety warning. Refer to the following for common beeping scenarios:
- Low Jump Starter Power: If your jump starter does not have sufficient power, the Smart Clip cable will beep after connection. Ensure your jump starter is fully charged.
- Insufficient Battery Cells: If your jump starter has power but only contains 3 built-in battery cells, the Smart Clip cable will also beep. The Smart Clip is designed to work with jump starters that have 4 built-in battery cells. It cannot function correctly with 3-cell jump starters. Please verify the number of battery cells in your jump starter before use.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Keep the battery clips and cables clean and free from dirt, corrosion, and moisture. Use a dry cloth to wipe them down after each use.
- Storage: Store the jumper cables in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the cables are not tangled or kinked, which could damage the wiring.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the cables and clips for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. Do not use if any damage is observed.
