5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and reliable operation of your Sanhua Electronic Expansion Valve Controller, follow these general maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the controller clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Ensure all electrical connections remain secure. Periodically check for any loose wiring.
- Avoid exposing the unit to direct sunlight, excessive heat, or corrosive environments.
- If the unit is installed in a dusty or humid environment, consider additional protective enclosures.
- Regularly check the sensors for any physical damage or accumulation of dirt that might affect their accuracy.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Sanhua Electronic Expansion Valve Controller, consider the following basic troubleshooting steps:
- No Power/Display Off:
- Check the power supply connections (J1 terminals) to ensure they are correctly wired and receiving the specified 24Vac/24Vdc.
- Verify the transformer is functioning and providing sufficient power (≥ 30VA).
- Incorrect Readings (Pressure/Temperature):
- Inspect the pressure sensor (J5 terminals) and temperature sensor (J6 terminals) connections for looseness or damage.
- Ensure the sensors themselves are correctly installed and not obstructed.
- Check if the sensor type matches the controller's configuration (if configurable).
- Valve Not Operating Correctly:
- Verify the EEV output connections (J7 terminals) are secure and correctly wired to the expansion valve.
- Check the DIP switch settings (SW1 and SW4) to ensure the correct control mode is selected (e.g., Superheat control, Drive mode, Manual operation, Temp. control).
- If in manual mode, ensure the +/- buttons are being used correctly to adjust the valve.
- If using RS485 communication, verify the communication link (J3 terminals) and protocol settings.
- Auxiliary Relay Malfunction:
- Check the auxiliary relay output connections (J4 terminals).
- Ensure the conditions for the relay activation are met according to your system's logic.
