4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Safety Warning

IMPORTANT: Always switch OFF the power to your HAVC system before performing any wiring or installation steps. If you are unsure about electrical wiring, please consult a qualified electrician.

4.2. RF Thermostat Mounting

The RF Thermostat offers flexible installation options:

  • Desktop Placement: Use the included bracket to place the thermostat on a desk or table in your living room or bedroom.
  • Wall Mount: The thermostat can also be mounted directly to a wall using the provided screws.

4.3. RF Receiver Installation and Wiring

The RF Receiver is typically wired directly to your boiler or valve actuator. Ensure power is OFF before proceeding.

For Water Gas Boiler:

  • Connect the Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires from your AC 230V 50/60Hz power supply to the corresponding L and N terminals on the RF Receiver.
  • Connect the boiler's control wires to the COM and NO (Normally Open) terminals on the RF Receiver. The maximum load is 230V~5(3)A.

For Valve Actuator Control with Ex-Power:

  • Connect the Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires from your AC 230V 50/60Hz power supply to the corresponding L and N terminals on the RF Receiver.
  • Connect the valve actuator's control wires to the OPEN and CLOSE terminals on the RF Receiver. The maximum load is 230V~5(3)A.

4.4. Power Supply for RF Thermostat

The RF Thermostat can be powered in two ways:

  • Battery Supply: Insert 3 x 1.5V alkaline AA batteries into the battery compartment.
  • USB Supply: Connect a Type-C USB cable to the thermostat for continuous power.

5. Operation

5.1. Display Symbols and Buttons

RF Thermostat Display:

  • Time Display: Current time.
  • Indoor Humidity: (Wi-Fi version only) Shows current humidity.
  • Weather Forecast: (Wi-Fi version only) Displays weather information.
  • Setpoint Temperature: Your desired temperature.
  • Sensing Temperature: Current room temperature (from built-in sensor) or floor temperature (if floor sensor connected).
  • Heating On: Indicates active heating.
  • Week Display: Current day of the week.
  • Child-lock: Indicates child lock is active.
  • Frost Protection: Indicates frost protection is active.
  • Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi connection status.
  • 433MHz (FSK): RF communication status.
  • ECO Mode: Indicates ECO mode is active.

To establish communication between the RF Thermostat and the RF Receiver:

  1. Ensure both the RF Thermostat and RF Receiver are powered on.
  2. On the RF Receiver, press and hold the SET key until the Pairing light starts flashing. This indicates it's in pairing mode.
  3. On the RF Thermostat, follow the instructions in the operation video (scan QR code on page 1 of the PDF manual) to enter the pairing state.
  4. Once successfully paired, the Pairing light on the RF Receiver will turn solid on.

5.3. APP Remote Control (Wi-Fi version only)

The thermostat can be controlled remotely using the Tuya Smart or Smart Life APP.

  1. Download the Tuya Smart or Smart Life APP from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Register or log in to your account.

5.5. Weekly Programming
