Operating Instructions
- Power On:
Turn on the power supply. The display will illuminate, indicating it is ready for use.
- Adjust Voltage:
Use the "Vol Button" (voltage knob) on the power supply to set the desired working voltage. The recommended working voltage for the HM120 pen is 5-12V, with a starting voltage of 8V.
- Activate the Pen:
Press the foot pedal to activate the tattoo pen. Release the foot pedal to stop the pen.
- Tattooing:
Begin tattooing on your practice skin or client, maintaining proper technique and hygiene. The pen's stable motor and anti-slip grip are designed for comfortable and precise work.
- Power Off:
Once finished, turn off the power supply and unplug all connections.
Maintenance
- Cleaning the Tattoo Pen:
After each use, carefully disassemble the tattoo pen (if applicable) and clean all external surfaces with a suitable disinfectant. Do not immerse the motor part of the pen in liquid. The aluminum alloy body is designed for durability and easy cleaning.
- Needle Disposal:
Always dispose of used needle cartridges in a designated sharps container immediately after use. Never reuse needle cartridges.
- Power Supply Care:
Keep the power supply clean and free from dust and moisture. Store it in a dry, cool place.
- General Hygiene:
Maintain strict hygiene practices, including wearing gloves and using sterile equipment, to prevent cross-contamination.
Troubleshooting
- Pen not turning on:
Check all cable connections (power cord, foot pedal, RCA clip cord). Ensure the power supply is plugged into a working outlet and turned on. Verify the voltage setting is within the recommended range (5-12V).
- Pen running inconsistently or weakly:
Ensure the RCA clip cord is securely connected to both the pen and the power supply. Check the voltage setting on the power supply; increase if necessary within the recommended range. A strong movement motor is designed for stability, so check for loose connections if performance is poor.
- Needle not extending or retracting properly:
Verify that the needle cartridge is correctly inserted and securely twisted into the needle insertion port. Adjust the needle depth mechanism to ensure it is not jammed or overtightened.
- Excessive vibration or noise:
While the pen is designed for quiet stability, excessive vibration or noise might indicate a loose needle cartridge or an issue with the motor. Ensure the needle is properly seated. If the issue persists, discontinue use and contact support.
User Tips
- Verify Package Contents: Upon receiving your kit, carefully check all items against the "Package Contents" list to ensure everything is present.
- Practice on Artificial Skin: Before working on real skin, extensively practice your techniques on the provided tattoo practice leather to gain proficiency and confidence.
- Understand Needle Types: Familiarize yourself with the different needle configurations (e.g., RL for Round Liner, RS for Round Shader, CM for Curved Magnum) and their specific uses for various tattooing styles.
- Maintain Sterility: Always prioritize sterility. Use new, sterile needle cartridges for each session and properly sterilize all reusable equipment that comes into contact with skin or ink.
