The Ieast Audiocast AMP80 is a versatile wireless multi-room stereo amplifier designed to convert any regular passive speaker into a high-fidelity wireless WiFi speaker. Featuring ESS9023 DAC and TDA7498E chips, it supports various streaming protocols including Airplay, DLNA, UPnP, Spotify Connect, and Tidal. This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your AMP80 to ensure optimal performance.

  1. Mode Indicator:
    • Power on: Green-blink
    • Standby: Green-slow blink
    • Wi-Fi mode: Green-solid
    • Bluetooth: Blue-light solid
    • AUX in: White-solid
    • Coaxial in: Orange-solid
  2. Connect: Multi-function button:
    • Short press: Switch mode
    • Green light long press for 3s: Wi-Fi network configuration mode
    • Blue light long press for 3s: Bluetooth pairing mode
    • Long press white light for 3s: Restore factory settings
  3. Speaker Connector: Can be connected to 4Ω or 8Ω passive speakers.
  4. DC 32V/4.75A: Power input.
  5. IR In: To use the features on the remote controller, please connect the IR receiver first.
  6. SUB out: Connect an active subwoofer.
  7. Coaxial In: For external Digital audio input device, including CD/DVD/TV.
  8. AUX IN: For external audio input device, including CD/DVD/TV.
  9. EXTENSION PORTS: Can be extended RS232 or 485 (optional).
  10. Ethernet: Connect the device through the network cable.

Setup

1. Connect Speakers

Connect your passive speakers to the Speaker Connectors on the rear panel of the AMP80. Ensure correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative). The AMP80 supports 4Ω or 8Ω passive speakers.

2. Power Connection

Connect the provided 32V/4.75A power adapter to the DC input port on the AMP80, then plug the AC power cord into a wall outlet. The mode indicator will show a green-blink when powered on.

3. Network Configuration (Wi-Fi)

For Wi-Fi setup, long press the 'Connect' multi-function button (2) until the green light flashes for 3 seconds to enter Wi-Fi network configuration mode. Follow the instructions in the IEAST Controller App to connect the AMP80 to your home Wi-Fi network.

4. Bluetooth Pairing

To pair via Bluetooth, long press the 'Connect' multi-function button (2) until the blue light flashes for 3 seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Then, search for 'Audiocast AMP' on your device's Bluetooth settings and connect.

5. App Installation

Download the 'IEAST Controller App' from the App Store (for Apple devices) or scan the QR code for Android devices. This app is essential for controlling the AMP80's advanced features and multi-room functionality.

6. Multi-Room Setup

The AMP80 supports multi-zone streaming. Using the IEAST Controller App, you can configure multiple AMP80 devices for solo listening (each playing independently) or party mode (2 or more devices playing the same audio program in sync).

Operating Instructions

Using the IEAST Controller App

The IEAST Controller App provides comprehensive control over your AMP80:

  • Configure AudioCast Pro: Connect to your router (BLE or direct connection).
  • Sound Management: Adjust EQ settings and monitor sound indicators.
  • Input Source Selection: Switch between Wi-Fi, AUX IN, and Coaxial In.
  • Multi-Room Management: Control individual or grouped AMP80 devices.
  • Volume Adjustment: Precisely control playback volume.
  • Favorite Programs: Save and recall your preferred audio programs.
  • Device Management: Add and control up to 10,000 other IEAST products simultaneously.
  • Digital Radio Access: Connects to over 10,000 digital radio stations.
  • Local Music Playback: Stream music directly from your phone.
  • Streaming Services: Play music from Deezer, TIDAL, Amazon Music, Hi-Rescloud, and NAS.

Streaming Protocols

The AMP80 is compatible with multiple streaming protocols, allowing flexible audio playback from various sources:

  • Spotify Connect: Stream directly from the Spotify app.
  • Airplay: Stream audio from Apple devices.
  • DLNA/UPnP: Stream from compatible network devices and media servers.
  • QPlay: Stream from QQ Music.

Optional Remote Control Functions

If you have the optional remote control and IR sensor, connect the IR sensor to the 'IR In' port (5) on the AMP80. The remote provides the following functions:

  • Standby/on: Power on/off.
  • Streaming mode: Select streaming input.
  • Bluetooth mode: Select Bluetooth input.
  • Bass boost on/off: Toggle bass boost.
  • Play / Pause: Control media playback.
  • Switch preset EQ: Cycle through equalizer presets.
  • Treble reset: Reset treble settings.
  • Bass reset: Reset bass settings.
  • Number keys (1-9): Preset function keys to switch audio programs.
  • AUX in mode: Select AUX input.
  • COAXIAL mode: Select Coaxial input.
  • Mute on/off: Mute/unmute audio.
  • Volume+/-: Adjust volume up or down.
  • Previous/Next song: Skip tracks (supports streaming and Bluetooth mode).
  • 3D mode on/off: Toggle 3D audio effect.
  • Preset favorite audio: Add the currently playing audio to the preset shortcut key, then press the key (1-9) to recall.

Note: The remote control requires AAA batteries (not included). If not using the remote for a long time, please remove the batteries.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Ieast Audiocast AMP80, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol sprays, as they may damage the finish or internal components.

  • No Power:

  • No Sound Output:
    • Ensure speakers are correctly connected to the Speaker Connectors with proper polarity.
    • Check the volume level on the AMP80 and your source device (phone, app).
    • Verify the correct input source (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AUX, Coaxial) is selected via the app or multi-function button.
    • If using an external source, ensure the source device is playing audio.
  • Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi:
    • Ensure your Wi-Fi router is on and within range.
    • Long press the 'Connect' button for 3 seconds (green light) to enter Wi-Fi configuration mode, then retry setup via the app.
    • Check if your Wi-Fi password was entered correctly in the app.
    • Try restarting both the AMP80 and your router.
  • Bluetooth Pairing Issues:
    • Ensure the AMP80 is in Bluetooth pairing mode (blue light solid after 3-second long press of 'Connect' button).
    • Make sure your source device's Bluetooth is enabled and visible.
    • Move your source device closer to the AMP80.
    • Forget the device on your source's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
  • App Not Detecting AMP80:
    • Ensure your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the AMP80.
    • Restart the app and the AMP80.
    • Check for app updates.
  • Sound Distortion or Poor Quality:
    • Check speaker wire connections for looseness or damage.
    • Ensure the audio source is of good quality.
    • Reduce the volume to see if distortion persists.
    • Try a different audio source or input method.
  • Factory Reset: If issues persist, long press the 'Connect' button for 3 seconds (white light) to restore factory settings. You will need to reconfigure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings after a factory reset.
