5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Basic Operation
- Button Function: The single button on the gauge is used for switching between total mileage (ODO) and trip mileage (TRIP), and for clearing trip mileage.
- Switching ODO/TRIP: On the working interface, short press the button to switch between ODO and TRIP.
- Clearing Trip Mileage: While in TRIP state, long press the button to clear the distance table.
5.2. Parameter Setting
To enter parameter setting mode:
- First, press and hold the button.
- Then, open the electric door lock.
- After 5 seconds, the gauge will enter the back door setting interface, which is divided into 4 sub-interfaces.
Interface 1: Tire Circumference Value Setting
- The display will show '199' (speed) and 'C-1871' (total cumulative display), where 1871 is the default tire circumference in mm.
- The thousands digit will flash. Short press the button to modify the value.
- If no operation for 5 seconds, the hundreds digit will flash, then cycle to single position.
- The circumference can be set from 500-2600mm.
- Long press the button for 3 seconds to save the setting and enter the magnet steel number setting interface.
Interface 2: Magnetic Steel Number Setting
- The display will show '199' (speed) and 'C---02' (total cumulative display), where 02 indicates the number of magnetic steel.
- The value can be set from 1-12. Short press the button to modify.
- Long press the button for 3 seconds to save the setting and enter the speed setting interface.
Interface 3: Speed Setting Interface (Engine Cylinder Setting)
- The display will show '199' (speed) and 'C----2' (total cumulative display), where 2 means the engine is 2 cylinders.
- Short press the button to switch between 2 cylinders/4 cylinders.
- Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to save the setting and enter the two-line and three-line fuel setting interface.
Interface 4: Two-line and Three-line Fuel Setting
- The display will show '199' (speed) and 'E----2' (total cumulative display), where 2 represents the second-line oil meter set to 3 lines. (This setting relates to how the fuel level is displayed, typically for compatibility with different fuel sensors).

6. Maintenance
- Keep the display clean using a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Regularly check all wiring connections for tightness and corrosion.
- Ensure the speed sensor is free from debris and properly aligned for accurate readings.
- Protect the unit from extreme temperatures and direct prolonged sunlight when possible.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Display/Power: Check the power (green and black wires) connections. Ensure the motorcycle's ignition is on.
- Incorrect Speed Reading: Verify the speed sensor is correctly installed and the magnetic steel number setting (Interface 2) and tire circumference (Interface 1) are accurately configured.
- Tachometer Not Working: Ensure the blue/white RPM wire is correctly connected to the ignition signal. Some users report issues with direct CDI ignition signals; ensure your connection provides a compatible signal.
- Odometer Reset to 0: If the odometer unexpectedly resets, there is no known method to restore previous mileage. Ensure stable power supply and proper wiring to prevent this.
- Indicator Lights Not Functioning: Check the specific wire connections for the non-functioning indicator (e.g., orange for left turn, light blue for right turn, blue for high beam).
- Oil Gauge Inaccurate: If the oil quantity display is showing voltage instead of levels, ensure the yellow/white fuel level wire is correctly connected to a compatible fuel sensor.
8. User Tips
- Wiring Verification: Always double-check the wire assignments against your motorcycle's specific wiring diagram, as some models may have variations. If a wire color (e.g., orange) is not present on your bike, consult your motorcycle's manual or a professional.
- Sensor Compatibility: Ensure the speed sensor's metric (e.g., thread size) is compatible with your motorcycle's wheel or drive system.
- Initial Setup: Take your time during the initial parameter setting (tire circumference, magnetic steel number, cylinder count) to ensure accurate readings.
