3. Setup and Equipment Connection

To use the HT-203U-i thermal imager, you need to download and install the companion mobile application and ensure your phone meets the requirements.

3.2 Phone Requirements

  • Ensure that your phone has OTG (On-The-Go) function.
  • Ensure that the OTG function is turned on in your phone's settings.

3.3 Equipment Connection

The HT-203U-i connects to your Android phone via a Type-C or Micro USB connector. A Micro USB connector is included as an accessory for compatibility.

  1. Insert the mobile infrared thermal imager into the USB port (Type-C or Micro USB) of your phone.
  2. On the phone screen, a prompt will appear asking to handle the USB Camera.
  3. Check the checkbox (e.g., "Always open HT-203U-I Thermal when USB Camera is connected") and click "OK".
  4. The software will launch, and the phone screen will display the infrared observation view.

4. Operating Instructions

The mobile application provides various functions for infrared observation and temperature analysis.

4.1 Software Operation Overview

The main functions accessible through the app include:

  • Infrared observation
  • Infrared temperature measurement and analysis
  • Photo and video capture
  • Action control and parameter settings for the thermal imager

4.2 Gallery, Photo, and Video

  • Gallery: Click the gallery icon to view saved images and videos. Within the picture/video list, you can select items to delete or share.
  • Photo: Click the photo icon to save the current infrared image. Saved photos can be viewed in the gallery.
  • Video: Click the video icon to start recording. Click it again to stop video recording. Videos are saved in the same location as images.

4.3 Shutter Refresh

Click the shutter refresh icon to refresh the thermal shield, which helps in recalibrating the sensor for accurate readings.

4.4 Temperature Measurement Analysis

Click the temperature measurement analysis icon to access options for different temperature measurement modes:

  • Point Temperature Measurement: Displays the central, highest, and lowest temperature points on the screen. You can tap the screen to add user-defined temperature points.
  • Line Temperature Measurement Analysis: Drag your fingers to draw a horizontal line on the screen. The app will automatically analyze and display the maximum and minimum temperatures along that line.
  • Regional Temperature Measurement Analysis: Drag your fingers to draw a rectangle on the screen. The app will analyze and display the maximum and minimum temperatures within the defined rectangular area.

4.5 Color Palette

Click the color palette icon to open the color palette interface. You can switch between 10 types of color palettes to visualize thermal data differently:

4.6 Temperature Measurement Settings

Click the settings icon to adjust various temperature measurement parameters:

  • Temperature Unit: Switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
  • Measuring Range: Adjust the temperature measurement range.
  • High/Low Temperature Warning: Set thresholds for high and low temperature alarms. The warning values are automatically saved when switching ranges.
  • Emissivity: Adjust the emissivity value for accurate temperature readings based on the material being measured.
  • Temperature Measurement Distance: Input the distance to the object for improved accuracy.
  • Image Control: Adjust brightness, contrast, noise reduction, and detail enhancement.

4.7 General Settings

Click the settings icon to access general application settings:

  • System Camera: Toggle the use of the phone's system camera.
  • Watermark: Enable or disable watermarks on captured images.
  • Language Selection: Choose between Chinese, English, or Russian.
  • Operation Instructions: Access the in-app instructions.
  • Version: View the application version information.

5. Maintenance
