5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

  1. Ensure the inflator is turned off.
  2. Align the HART 20V Lithium-ion battery (sold separately) with the battery port on the base of the inflator.
  3. Slide the battery into the port until it clicks securely into place.
  4. To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.

5.2 Attaching Nozzle Accessories

The inflator comes with a sports needle and two high-pressure nozzles for various applications. These can be stored on-board the tool.

  1. Select the appropriate nozzle for the item you wish to inflate.
  2. Screw the chosen nozzle onto the end of the inflator hose securely.
  3. Ensure a tight connection to prevent air leakage during inflation.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 General Inflation Steps

  1. Prepare the Item: Ensure the item to be inflated is clean and free of debris around the valve.
  2. Attach Hose: Connect the inflator hose to the item's valve. For car tires, use the standard Schrader valve connector. For sports balls, use the sports needle. For other inflatables, use the appropriate high-pressure nozzle.
  3. Set Desired Pressure: Use the digital LCD display and control buttons (if present) to set the target PSI. The display provides real-time pressure readings.
  4. Start Inflation: Press the power button or trigger to begin inflation. The inflator will automatically stop once the preset pressure is reached.
  5. Monitor Progress: Observe the digital display to ensure the pressure is increasing as expected. The 20-inch hose provides ample reach, allowing you to stand comfortably while monitoring.
  6. Disconnect: Once inflation is complete, release the power button/trigger and carefully disconnect the hose from the item's valve.

6.2 Inflating Car Tires

The HART inflator can inflate a car tire from flat to full in under 7 minutes, providing enhanced accuracy with its digital LCD display.
