4. Setup

  1. Charge the Device: Before first use, fully charge the borescope using the provided Type-C charging cable. Connect the cable to the device's Type-C port and a suitable USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will show the charging status.
  2. Insert TF Card (Optional): If you plan to capture photos or videos, insert a TF card (up to 32GB, not included) into the designated slot on the device. Ensure it is inserted correctly.
  3. Attach Probe: Connect the flexible probe cable to the main unit. Ensure a secure connection.
  4. Attach Accessories (Optional): Depending on your inspection needs, attach the hook, magnet, or side view mirror to the end of the probe.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually marked 'OK' or with a power symbol) for a few seconds until the screen lights up.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the power button again until the screen turns off.

5.2 Camera Steering and Rotation

The INSKAM S10 features a 360° two-way articulating probe. Use the steering knob on the handle to precisely control the direction of the camera lens.

5.3 Switching Lenses (Dual Lens Models)

For models equipped with dual lenses, you can switch between the front and side cameras. Long press the camera icon button (often labeled 'OK' or with a camera symbol) for 5 seconds to switch between the main and side cameras.

5.4 Capturing Photos and Videos

  • Take Photo: Press the photo button (usually a camera icon) to capture a still image.
  • Record Video: Press the video button (usually a video camera icon) to start recording. Press it again to stop recording.
  • All captured media will be saved to the inserted TF card.

5.5 Adjusting LED Lights

The probe is equipped with 8 adjustable LEDs. Use the light adjustment button (often a light bulb icon) to cycle through different brightness levels to illuminate dark inspection areas.

5.6 Application Scenarios

The INSKAM S10 is suitable for various inspection tasks:

  • Machine Inspection: Examine internal components of engines, machinery, and industrial equipment.
  • Pipe and Wall Cavity Inspection: Inspect plumbing, HVAC ducts, and hidden spaces within walls.
  • General Inspection: Useful in poor lighting conditions or hard-to-reach areas where visual inspection is otherwise impossible.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: After each use, especially in dirty or wet environments, clean the probe and lens with a soft, damp cloth. The probe tip is IP67 waterproof, allowing for cleaning with water, but ensure the main unit is kept dry.
  • Storage: Store the borescope in its carrying box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source and try again.
  • No image on screen: Check if the probe is securely connected to the main unit. Ensure the camera lens is clean.
  • Image unclear: Adjust the focal distance (optimal 2-10cm for A lens, 2-5cm for B lens). Clean the lens if necessary. Adjust LED brightness.
  • Device shuts down automatically: The device is equipped with an over-temperature protection feature. If the probe temperature exceeds 80°C, it will automatically shut down to prevent damage. Allow the device to cool down before resuming operation.

8. User Tips

  • For dual-lens models, remember to long press the camera switch button for 5 seconds to toggle between the front and side cameras for a comprehensive view.
  • When navigating tight spaces, utilize the precise steering knob to maneuver the probe without forcing it, preventing potential damage.
