5. Operation
5.1 Control Line Adjustment (AHD 1080P Version)
The AHD 1080P camera features adjustable control lines to customize its functionality. These lines are typically found near the camera connector.

Control lines for adjusting camera settings.
- Blue Line: Signal Control (CVBS / AHD 1080P Switch)
Cutting this line switches the video signal type between CVBS and AHD 1080P. Ensure your display supports the selected signal type. - Green Line: Front/Rear View Control
Cutting this line switches the camera's orientation between front view and rear view. - White Line: Parking Line Control
Cutting this line enables or disables the parking guide lines displayed on the screen.
5.2 Head Unit Settings (for AHD 1080P)
For the AHD 1080P camera to function correctly, your car's head unit must support AHD signals. You may need to adjust settings in your head unit:
- Navigate to your car's settings menu.
- Look for 'Factory Settings' or 'Car Settings'.
- Find 'HD Reversing Settings' or a similar option.
- Select 'CVBS-NTSC/AHD 1080P' or the appropriate AHD option.

Example of selecting AHD 1080P in head unit settings.
Important: If AHD cannot be selected in your head unit settings, it means your system does not support AHD cameras.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, damp cloth to ensure a clear view. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cables for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. Secure or replace as necessary.
- Waterproofing: While the camera is waterproof (IP67 for CCD 720P, IP68 for AHD 1080P), avoid directing high-pressure water jets directly at the camera for extended periods.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Video Signal:
- Check all cable connections between the camera, video cable, and display unit. Ensure they are securely plugged in.
- Verify the power connection to the camera. Ensure it is receiving 12V DC power. - Flickering or Distorted Image:
- Ensure all connections are tight and free from interference.
- Check if the power supply is stable (DC 12V). - AHD 1080P Camera Not Working / No AHD Option:
- Your car's head unit may not support AHD signals. Refer to your head unit's manual or settings (Car Settings > Factory Settings > HD Reversing Settings) to confirm AHD compatibility and selection. If AHD cannot be selected, your system is incompatible. - Incorrect View (Front/Rear) or Missing Parking Lines:
- For AHD 1080P cameras, check the blue, green, and white control wires. Ensure they are cut or intact according to your desired function (front/rear view, parking lines on/off, CVBS/AHD signal).
8. User Tips
- Compatibility Check: Before purchasing, always verify your car's head unit compatibility with AHD 1080P if you intend to use the AHD version. If your unit only supports CVBS, select the CCD 720P version.
- Front Camera Wiring: When installing as a front camera, pay close attention to the green control wire. Cutting it will switch the camera to front view mode.
- Cable Usage: For optimal performance and compatibility, always use the power and video cables provided with your Smartour camera.
