1. Introduction

The XY-3606 is a versatile CNC DC Regulated Power Supply Boost Converter featuring a full protocol fast charging module and an LED digital display. Designed for various DIY modifications, it is suitable for applications in diagnosis and treatment electronic instruments, communication and broadcasting equipment, industrial electronic equipment, DC motors, and general charging equipment.

3. Assembly Instructions

If you have received the 'Bulk shipment' (DIY kit) version, follow these steps for assembly:

  1. Place the fast charging board into the second card slot of the middle frame.
  2. Attach the front panel and rear panel to the middle frame.
  3. Secure the panels using the 8 front and rear panel fixing screws.
  4. Connect the output banana sockets, illuminated metal button, input power cords, and fan to their respective interfaces on the charging board and panels.
  5. Mount the fan using the provided 4 pairs of fixing screws and nuts.

4. Initial Setup and Connections

The XY-3606 supports multiple input methods:

  • Type-C Port Input: Supports PD protocol fast charging heads.
  • Pure Copper DC Plug (DC5.5 * 2.1) Input: For DC6.0~30V input.

Connect your chosen power source to the appropriate input port. Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range of DC6.0-30V. Using a voltage reducing power supply with a comparable voltage (e.g., 30V input for a 30V output) may cause overvoltage damage if the input exceeds 30V. Always verify your input voltage.

5. Operation

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Short Press ON/OFF Button: Turns the CNC power supply on or off.
  • Long Press ON/OFF Button (2 seconds): Switches the power-on state of the CNC power supply.
    • 'ON' state: Power is on.
    • 'OFF' state: Power is off.

5.2 Display Readings

  • When no phone is plugged in for charging: The TYPE-C port digital tube displays voltage, and the USB-A port displays temperature.
  • When a phone is plugged in for charging: Both the TYPE-C port and USB-A port will alternately display voltage and current.

5.3 Fast Charge Protocol Display

After activating the fast charge protocol, the digital tube will display the output fast charge protocol type:

  • 'nOn': No agreement triggered.
  • 'QC2': C2.0
  • 'QC3': C3.0
  • 'FCP': FCP
  • 'SCP': SCP
  • 'PD Fix': PD2
  • 'PPS': PD3
  • 'PE1.1': PE1
  • 'PE2.1': PE2

The maximum input voltage for the fast charging board is DC30V. It is strongly recommended to use a matching power supply with a maximum input of 30V. If you use a voltage reducing power supply with a comparable voltage, you must ensure that the input voltage remains within 30V. Exceeding this limit may cause overvoltage damage to the fast charging board. Users are responsible for any damage incurred due to improper voltage input.

This shell kit is designed to be used in conjunction with product modules such as H3606, S3580, and S3606 power supplies.

9. User Tips

  • Verify Compatibility: Before connecting, always confirm that the power supply is compatible with your specific module (e.g., XY SK 60) to avoid potential issues.
  • Monitor Input Voltage: Pay close attention to the input voltage, especially when using voltage-reducing power supplies, to stay within the 30V maximum limit and prevent damage.
  • Observe Display: Utilize the digital display to monitor voltage, current, and temperature, which can help in diagnosing charging issues or ensuring stable operation.

10. Troubleshooting

If the device is not functioning as expected, consider the following:

  • No Display/Power: Check all power connections and ensure the input voltage is correct and within the DC6.0-30V range. Verify the ON/OFF button has been pressed.
  • Charging Issues: Ensure the connected device supports one of the listed fast charging protocols. Check the cables for damage.
  • Overvoltage Warning: Immediately disconnect the power source if an overvoltage condition is suspected. Re-evaluate your input power supply.
  • Loose Connections: For DIY kits, ensure all internal connections (board, wires, fan) are secure.
