1. Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the Bafang DPC190/DPC191 Bluetooth LCD color display, designed for use with Bafang mid-mounted motors that utilize the CAN communication protocol. Compatible motor models include M510, M600, M560, M800, and M820.

1.1 Important Notice
- ⚠️ Please mind potential fire risk and strictly follow the instruction manual for charging and storage.
- Please use this product with care.
- Do not use thinners or other solvents to clean the display. Such substances can damage the surfaces.
- The product is designed to be waterproof (IP65). However, it is highly recommended to avoid submerging the display under water.
- Do not clean the display with a steam jet, high-pressure cleaner or water hose.

3.1 Display Information

4. Normal Operation

4.1 Switching the System ON/OFF
- To turn on the system: Press and hold the Power icon button for more than 2 seconds.
- To turn off the system: Press and hold the Power icon button for more than 2 seconds again.
- If the "automatic shutdown time" is set (e.g., 5 minutes), the display will automatically turn off after the specified idle time.
- If a password function is enabled, you must enter the correct password to use the system.
4.2 Selection of Support Levels
When the display is turned on, briefly press the + or - button (less than 0.5 seconds) to switch the support level. The lowest level is 0, and the highest level is 5. The system starts in level 1 by default. There is no support at level 0.

4.3 Selection Mode
Briefly press the i button (0.5 seconds) to cycle through different trip modes:
- Single-trip kilometers (TRIP)
- Total kilometers (ODO)
- Maximum speed (MAX)
- Average speed (AVG)
- Range (RANGE)
- Energy consumption (CALORIES) (only with torque sensor fitted)
- Travel time (TIME)
- Cycle
4.4 Headlights / Backlighting
- To activate headlights and backlights: Hold the Light icon button for more than 2 seconds.
- To turn off headlights: Hold the Light icon button for more than 2 seconds again.
- The backlight brightness can be adjusted in the display settings under "Brightness".
- If the display/Pedelec is switched on in a dark environment, the display backlight/headlight will automatically switch on. If manually switched off, the automatic sensor function is deactivated, and you must turn on the light manually after restarting the system.

4.5 Walk Assistance
- To activate: Press the - button until the "walk icon" symbol appears. Then, hold down the + button while the "walk icon" symbol is displayed.
- The "walk icon" symbol will flash, and the pedelec will move at less than 6 km/h.
- To deactivate: Release the + button. The "walk icon" symbol will stop flashing.
- If there is no operation within 3 seconds, the motor stops automatically and switches back to level 0.
4.6 Service Indication
The pedelec may display a "SERVICE" reminder based on total mileage and battery charging times. If the total mileage exceeds 5000 KM and the Service function is enabled, the "TRIP" position will display and flash the "SERVICE" indicator for 5 seconds when the display is on. This function can be enabled or disabled in the Setting interface.

5. Settings
To access the "Setting" menu, double press the i button. Navigate through options (Display setting, Information, Language, or EXIT) using the + or - buttons, then press i to confirm. If no button is pressed within 20 seconds, the display will return to the main screen without saving changes.

5.1 Display Settings
From the "Setting" menu, select "Display Setting" using +/- and confirm with i. The following options are available:
- Unit (km/Miles): Select "Unit", press i, then use +/- to choose "Metric" (kilometer) or "Imperial" (Miles). Confirm with i to save.
- Service Tip (ON/OFF): Select "Service Tip", press i, then use +/- to choose "ON" or "OFF". Confirm with i to save.
- Brightness (25%/50%/75%/100%): Select "Brightness", press i, then use +/- to set the backlight level. Confirm with i to save.
- Auto Off (OFF/1Min-10Min): Select "Auto Off", press i, then use +/- to choose the automatic power-off time. "OFF" disables automatic shutdown. Confirm with i to save.
- MAX PAS (Support Level): Select "MAX PAS", press i, then use +/- to set the maximum support level. Confirm with i to save.
- Power View (Power/Current): Select "Power View", press i, then use +/- to switch between "Power" or "Current" display. Confirm with i to save.
- SOC View (Percent/Voltage): Select "SOC View", press i, then use +/- to switch battery indication mode between "Percent" or "Voltage". Confirm with i to save.
- TRIP Reset (YES/NO): Select "TRIP Reset", press i, then use +/- to choose "YES" to reset or "NO" to not reset. This clears maximum speed (MAX), average speed (AVG), and single-trip distance (TRIP). Confirm with i to save.
- AL Sensitivity (0-5/OFF): Select "AL Sensitivity", press i, then use +/- to set the light sensitivity level. Confirm with i to save.

5.2 Password Settings
From the "Display Setting" menu, select "Password" using +/- and confirm with i.
5.2.1 Starting Password
- In the "Password" interface, highlight "Start Password" and press i to confirm.
- Use +/- to choose "ON" or "OFF". Press i to confirm.
- If "ON" is selected, you can input a 4-digit PIN code using +/- for numbers (0-9) and i to move to the next digit.
- Re-enter the 4-digit code to ensure correctness. The interface will then exit automatically.
5.2.2 Changing the Password
- In the "Password" menu, highlight "Reset Password" using +/- and press i to confirm.
- Enter your old password, then input the new password twice. Your password will be changed.
5.2.3 Deactivating the Password
- In the "Password" interface, highlight "Start Password" using +/- and press i to confirm.
- Use +/- to choose "OFF" and press i to confirm.
- Enter your current password to deactivate it. (After 10 wrong password attempts, the display will power off automatically.)

7. Language Settings
From the "Setting" menu, select "Language" using +/- and confirm with i. Use +/- to select your desired language (English, Deutsche, Nederlands, Français, Italiano, or Čeština). Confirm with i to save, then select "Back" to return to the setting interface.

8. Troubleshooting
The HMI (Human Machine Interface) can display faults of the Pedelec. When a fault is detected, a "wrench" icon will appear, along with an error code. Please read the error code description carefully. If an error occurs, first restart the system. If the problem persists, contact your dealer or technical personnel.
8.1 Error Code Definition
To view error information for the last ten errors, navigate to the "Information" menu, select "Error Code" using +/-, and press i to confirm. An error code of "00" indicates no error. To clear error codes, press and hold i and Power icon together for more than 2 seconds.

8.2 Warning Code Definition
To view warning information, navigate to the "Information" menu, select "Warning Code" using +/-, and press i to confirm. A warning code of "00" means there is no warning. To clear warning codes, press and hold i and Power icon together for more than 2 seconds.
