1.3 Cooling Fan Setup (D200S-D800S Series)

For D200S-D800S models, the cooling fan helps manage high temperatures during long-term use. Follow these steps to ensure it's working:

1. Connect the cooling fan cable to the designated port on the back of the head unit.
2. Go to Settings > Device > Sound.
3. In the Sound settings, ensure AMP ON/OFF is set to ON.
4. The cooling fan should now be active.

1.4 DVR Installation (Optional)

If you have an optional DVR, you can install its software via USB:

1. Connect the DVR via USB cable to the head unit.
2. Open the FileManager application on the head unit.
3. Locate the DVR installation file (e.g., uCarDvr.apk) in the USB storage.
4. Install the software.
5. Once installed, the DVR is ready for use.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 User Interface (UI)

The MEKEDE 5.0 UI offers an intuitive and customizable experience. The UI automatically switches between day and night modes for optimal visibility.

Customizing Main Interface Icons (D200S-D800S Series):

You can customize the position of main interface icons and edit apps in the shortcut menu bar.

1. Go to Settings > Factory (Password: 3368).
2. Find "Home Launcher Selection".
3. Select your preferred main menu style (UI06, UI13, UI17, UI22, UI29).

Changing Background Wallpaper:

You can freely change the background wallpaper according to your preference.

1. Long press on the current background.
2. Select a favorite wallpaper from the options.
3. Confirm to set the wallpaper.

2.2 Navigation (GPS)

The head unit features a built-in global positioning system supporting GPS, BDS, and GLONASS for rapid and accurate positioning. It provides omni-directional map display and synchronous display of real-time traffic conditions. Supported map applications include Navitel, IGO, Yandex, and Google Maps.

2.3 Multimedia Playback

The device supports 1080P video decoding and True Color 24 HD-Display. It allows fluent playback of various USB/SD quality video and audio formats (Mp3, MP4, WMA, JPEG).

The head unit supports FM/AM RDS Radio with automatic and manual search capabilities. You can drag and replace station icons into your channel list.

Bluetooth (BT) Function:

The BT function supports phonebook with name search, caller ID display for incoming/dialed/missed calls, and BT music streaming. It is not safe to look at your phone while driving.

4G LTE & WiFi:

The built-in 4G module (supported by D200S-D800S models) allows connection to cellular networks. The device also supports 5GHz WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) for faster transmission, low latency, wide coverage, and more stable connection (only D200S-D800S models).

2.6 Advanced Features

Built-in CarPlay + Android Auto (D150S, D200S-D800S Series):

The car multimedia player comes with built-in Wireless CarPlay (for iOS) and Android Auto (for Android) functionality, eliminating the need for additional accessories.

Connection Steps:

1. Connect via Bluetooth (BT).
2. Click on "Car Link" and wait for the connection.

CarPlay/Android Auto can also be connected via USB Cable.

Split Screen:

Take control of music or use hands-free calling functions safely. This head unit supports digital steering wheel control. If your original car does not have steering wheel buttons, optional BT steering wheel buttons can be purchased (this accessory only supports D200S-D800S systems).

Increase DSP digital audio processing module for multi-dimensional surround lossless sound effects, providing a high-definition audio-visual experience. Models D150S, D200S, D300S, D400S, D500S, D600S, D700S, D800S support DSP. Specific DSP chips vary by model (e.g., 7862S DSP for D300S, D500S, D600S, D700S, D800S; 9863 DSP for D200S, D400S).

Optional Accessories Support:

• AHD Reversing Video: Provides clearer rear-view video than ordinary cameras. Rear View Camera is not included.
• ADAS DVR: Anti-collision warning driving recorder with front vehicle distance prediction, anti-collision warning, and lane departure warning for safer driving.

• GPS signal issues: Ensure the GPS antenna is correctly installed and has a clear view of the sky.
• Bluetooth connectivity problems: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the head unit and your mobile device. Try re-pairing the devices.
