4. Product Overview
The Bisofice Electronic Time Clock is designed for efficient employee attendance tracking. It features automatic recording, red marking for late arrivals and early departures, and versatile installation options.
- Week Display: Shows the current day of the week (SUN, MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT).
- Time Display: Shows the current time.
- Date Display: Shows the current date.
- Current Print Position: Indicates where the time card will be stamped.
- Buttons 1 ('+'): Used to increase values during settings.
- Buttons 2 ('-'): Used to decrease values during settings.
- Buttons 3 ('Confirm'): Used to confirm selections during settings.
- Buttons 4, 5: Used for switching between options or modes.
- Buttons 6: Hold down for 3 seconds to enter or exit the setting mode.
5. Setup
5.1 Power Connection
- Connect the provided power adapter to the time clock's power input port.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet (100-240V, 50-60Hz).
- The display will light up, indicating the device is powered on.
5.2 Initial Time and Date Setting
Refer to the 'Front Panel and Button Functions' image in Section 4 for button identification.
- Press and hold Button 6 for 3 seconds to enter the setting mode.
- Use Button 1 ('+') and Button 2 ('-') to adjust the hour, minute, day, month, and year.
- Press Button 3 ('Confirm') to move to the next setting parameter.
- Once all settings are correct, press and hold Button 6 again for 3 seconds to exit the setting mode.
5.3 Ribbon Installation
The time clock comes with two inked ribbons. Install one ribbon as follows:
- Gently open the front cover of the time clock.
- Locate the ribbon cartridge slot.
- Insert the new ribbon cartridge into the slot, ensuring it clicks into place.
- Close the front cover securely.
5.4 Time Card Preparation
The time clock includes 100 time cards. These cards are two-sided:
- Blue Side: For the 1st to the 15th of the month.
- Orange Side: For the 16th to the 31st of the month.
Ensure employees use the correct side of the time card for the current period.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Punching In/Out
- Select the appropriate time card for the current period (blue for 1st-15th, orange for 16th-31st).
- Insert the time card into the card slot at the top of the time clock.
- The machine will automatically detect the card and print the current time and date.
- Remove the time card after it has been stamped.
The time clock automatically marks late arrivals and early departures in red, simplifying payroll processing.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Ribbon Replacement
When the print quality deteriorates, it's time to replace the ink ribbon. Follow the steps outlined in Section 5.3 Ribbon Installation.
7.2 Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the time clock with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the device.
- Ensure no dust or debris accumulates in the card slot to prevent jamming.
8. Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on: Check if the power adapter is securely connected to both the time clock and the power outlet. Ensure the outlet is functional.
- No print or faint print: The ink ribbon may need replacement. Refer to Section 7.1.
- Time card not feeding correctly: Ensure the time card is inserted straight and not bent or damaged. Check for any obstructions in the card slot.
- Incorrect time/date displayed: Re-enter the setting mode and adjust the time and date as described in Section 5.2.
- Device not working during power outage: The built-in 800mAh rechargeable battery should keep the time clock operational during sudden power loss. If it's not working, the battery might be depleted or faulty.
