1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the DumboRC X6 series of 2.4G 6-channel mini receivers, including models X6, X6FG (with gyro), X6DC (with LED light system), and X6DCG (with gyro and LED light system). These receivers are designed for use with 1/10 and 1/8 scale RC crawlers, cars, boats, and tanks, compatible with DumboRC X4, X5, and X6 transmitters.

2. Safety Precautions
- Ensure the receiver's power supply voltage (4.8-10.0V DC) is within the specified range to prevent damage.
- Keep the antenna clear of metal objects and other electronic components to ensure optimal signal reception.
- Always turn on the transmitter before the receiver and turn off the receiver before the transmitter to avoid uncontrolled operation.
- Avoid exposing the receiver to moisture, extreme temperatures, or strong vibrations.
3. Setup and Binding
3.1 Component Identification
Familiarize yourself with the receiver's ports and buttons:

3.2 Wiring Connections
Connect your servos, Electronic Speed Controller (ESC), and any optional LED lamps to the receiver as shown in the diagram below. Ensure correct polarity for all connections.

- CH1 (Rudder): Connect steering servo.
- CH2 (Throttle): Connect ESC.
- CH3-CH5 (AUX): Connect auxiliary components like winches, gear shifts, or other accessories.
- CH6 (AUX/GYRO): For X6FG/X6DCG models, this channel may also control gyro sensitivity or serve as an auxiliary channel.
- Power Supply: The receiver is powered via the ESC or a separate battery connected to any channel's VCC/GND pins.
3.3 Binding Procedure
To establish communication between your DumboRC transmitter (X4, X5, or X6) and the receiver, follow these steps:
- Ensure your transmitter is turned off.
- Connect power to the receiver (4.8-10.0V DC). The Binding LED (Green) on the receiver will flash rapidly.
- Press and hold the Binding Button on the receiver.
- While holding the Binding Button, turn on your DumboRC transmitter.
- Release the Binding Button on the receiver once the Binding LED on the receiver turns solid green. This indicates successful binding.
- Test all channels to ensure proper control. If binding fails, repeat the process.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Control
Once bound, the receiver will respond to inputs from your DumboRC transmitter:
- CH1 (Rudder): Controls the steering of your vehicle or rudder of your boat.
- CH2 (Throttle): Controls the forward/reverse movement and speed of your vehicle or boat.
- CH3-CH6 (AUX): Operate any connected auxiliary devices as configured on your transmitter.
4.2 Gyro Function (X6FG, X6DCG)
Models X6FG and X6DCG feature an integrated gyroscope for enhanced stability, particularly useful for drift cars or vehicles on uneven terrain. The GYRO LED (Red) on the receiver indicates gyro status.
- Refer to your DumboRC transmitter manual for instructions on adjusting gyro sensitivity and enabling/disabling the gyro function.
- Typically, gyro sensitivity can be adjusted via a dedicated knob or switch on the transmitter, often linked to CH6.
4.3 LED Flashing System (X6DC, X6DCG)
The X6DC and X6DCG receivers include an integrated LED flashing system, allowing you to simulate realistic car lighting effects. This adds an immersive element to your RC car play.

The receivers provide dedicated ports for various light functions:

- Connect compatible LED lights to the corresponding ports (DRL, BL, FL, SL, CL).
- Control these light functions via your DumboRC transmitter, typically assigned to specific switches or buttons.
5. Maintenance
- Keep the receiver clean and free from dust, dirt, and moisture. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Regularly inspect all wiring connections for signs of wear or damage.
- Store the receiver in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
- Ensure the antenna is not bent or damaged, as this can affect signal range.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Receiver not binding | Incorrect binding procedure, transmitter off, receiver not powered, or too far from transmitter. | Repeat binding steps carefully. Ensure transmitter is on and close to the receiver. Check power connections. |
| Loss of signal/short range | Damaged antenna, interference, low transmitter/receiver battery, or antenna obstructed. | Check antenna for damage and proper placement. Ensure batteries are charged. Avoid operating near strong interference sources. |
| No response from servos/ESC | Incorrect wiring, faulty servo/ESC, or receiver not powered. | Verify all connections are correct and secure. Test components individually if possible. Ensure receiver has power. |
| LED lights not working (X6DC/G) | Incorrect LED connection, faulty LEDs, or transmitter not configured for light control. | Check LED polarity and connections. Ensure LEDs are functional. Verify transmitter settings for light control. |
