5. Installation & Wiring
WARNING: High voltage inside AC220V models. Ensure power is disconnected before installation and wiring. If you are not experienced with electrical wiring, please consult a qualified electrician.
5.1 Power Supply and Output Comparison
The internal circuitry and wiring methods differ based on the power supply (DC12V/24V or AC220V) and output capacity (5A or 10A). Please refer to the specific model you have purchased.

Top Left: DC12V/24V power supply/10A output (10A Relay output)
Top Right: AC220V power supply/10A output (Includes a power conversion module; AC wiring differs from DC)
Bottom Left: AC220V power supply/5A output with rear cover (Other models may not have a rear cover)
Bottom Right: AC220V power supply/5A output open rear cover circuit board (5A Relay output)
5.2 Wiring Diagrams
Follow the appropriate wiring diagram for your specific power supply and load type. Ensure all connections are secure.

Figure 1: DC12V/24V Power Supply Control DC System
Connect DC1V/24V power supply to the input terminals. Connect the DC load (e.g., refrigeration/heating equipment) to the relay output terminals. The wiring method is two in and two out.
Figure 2: AC220V Power Supply Control AC System
The AC200V power supply model includes an additional conversion module. Connect AC220V power supply (L: line of fire, N: zero line) to the input terminals. Connect the AC load (e.g., refrigeration/heating equipment) to the relay output terminals. The wiring method is two in and two out.

For AC220V systems controlling high current loads, an external AC contactor is required (purchased separately). Connect the AC220V power supply (L: line of fire, N: zero line) to the controller's input. The controller's output then connects to the coil of the AC contactor. The AC load is connected through the main contacts of the AC contactor.
Important Safety Note: There is high voltage inside. Do not touch internal components when powered. The maximum output of the built-in relay is 5A. Do not operate at 3A or above for extended periods of time without an external contactor.
5.3 Sensor Connection
The NTC10K waterproof probe connects to the 2P terminals on the controller. Ensure a firm connection for accurate temperature measurement.
6. Operation
The H56TR controller is designed for straightforward operation using its 'SET' and 'U/D' buttons.
6.1 Basic Temperature Setting
- Power On: Ensure the controller is correctly wired and powered. The display will show the current temperature.
- Enter Setting Mode: Press the 'SET' button once. The displayed temperature value will likely start flashing, indicating it's ready for adjustment.
- Adjust Temperature: Use the 'U' (Up) and 'D' (Down) buttons to increase or decrease the desired target temperature.
- Confirm Setting: Press the 'SET' button again to save the new target temperature and exit the setting mode. The display will return to showing the current temperature.
6.2 Heating/Cooling Control
The controller automatically activates its relay output based on the set temperature and the current measured temperature. The 'ALARM' indicator light typically signifies the relay's active status (e.g., heating or cooling element is on).
- If the current temperature is below the set temperature (in heating mode) or above the set temperature (in cooling mode), the relay will activate to bring the temperature to the desired level.
- The specific mode (heating or cooling) is usually configured through advanced settings, which may involve a long press of the 'SET' button or a combination of button presses. Refer to the on-screen menu options if available.
7. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your H56TR Digital Temperature Controller, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Environmental Conditions: Avoid exposing the controller to excessive moisture, dust, or extreme temperatures outside its operating range.
- Connections: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
- Sensor Care: Handle the temperature sensor probe carefully. Avoid bending or damaging the cable. If the sensor needs replacement, use a compatible NTC10K probe.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your temperature controller, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Power/Display:
- Check the power supply connection. Ensure the correct voltage (DC12V, DC24V, or AC220V) is applied.
- Verify that the power cord is securely connected.
- Incorrect Temperature Reading:
- Ensure the temperature sensor probe is correctly connected to the 2P terminals.
- Check if the sensor probe is properly placed in the environment where temperature needs to be measured.
- Inspect the sensor cable for any damage. Replace if necessary.
- Relay Not Activating/Deactivating:
- Verify that the load (heating/cooling equipment) is correctly wired to the relay output terminals.
- Check the set temperature and ensure it is different enough from the current temperature to trigger the relay based on the configured heating/cooling mode.
- Ensure the load's power requirements do not exceed the controller's output capacity (5A or 10A). For higher loads, an external contactor is required.
- Display Flashing/Error Codes:
- If the display shows unusual characters or flashes continuously, it might indicate a sensor error or a parameter setting issue. Recheck sensor connection and try resetting the device (if a reset option is available, or by power cycling).
9. User Tips
- Temperature Range Verification: The H56TR controller is designed to accurately control temperatures within the range of -40°C to 300°C. Always ensure your application's temperature requirements fall within this specified range for optimal performance.
- Probe Placement: For the most accurate readings, place the waterproof temperature probe directly in the environment or medium you wish to monitor and control.
- External Contactor for High Loads: If your heating or cooling equipment draws more than 5A (for 5A models) or 10A (for 10A models), it is highly recommended to use an external AC contactor to protect the controller's internal relay and ensure safe operation.
