7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Periodically check wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear or damage.
  • Firmware Updates: Keep the eWeLink app and device firmware updated to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Device not pairing: Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. Check if the indicator light is blinking rapidly. If not, press and hold the button for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode. Ensure your phone is close to the device and router during pairing.
  • Remote control not working: Check your internet connection and the device's WiFi connection (solid blue indicator light). Ensure the eWeLink app is updated.
  • Protection not triggering: Verify that the protection tripping switches are enabled for the desired parameters in the 'OPS' settings within the eWeLink app. Ensure the set thresholds are appropriate for your load.
  • Unable to update firmware: Check your internet connection. Ensure the device has stable power. Try restarting the app and the device.
  • Device turns off unexpectedly: Check your protection settings (Min/Max Power, Min/Max Voltage, Max Current) in the 'OPS' section of the app. The device may be tripping due to a parameter exceeding its set limit.

9. User Tips

  • Current Limit Adjustment: If you encounter issues with the device cutting power at unexpected current levels (e.g., above 10A), verify and adjust the 'Max. Current' setting in the 'OPS' section of the eWeLink app to match your load requirements.
  • Short Circuit Protection: The device's current limit feature acts as a form of overcurrent protection. In the event of a short circuit, if the current exceeds the set 'Max. Current' threshold, the device is designed to trip and cut power.
  • App Updates: Regularly check for eWeLink app updates to ensure compatibility and access to the latest features and bug fixes.
