1. Introduction
The Q2I Handheld POS Terminal is a versatile device designed for commercial applications, integrating an Android 8.1 operating system with a 5.5-inch HD touch screen, a built-in thermal printer, and various connectivity options. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your device.

2. Package Contents
Ensure all items are present in the package:
- 1 x Q2I PDA Handheld POS Terminal
- 1 x Power Adapter (specific to your region: US, UK, or EU Plug)
- User Manual (this document)
Note: NFC and dedicated barcode scanner functions are optional and may not be included in all configurations. Please verify your specific model's features.

4. Setup Guide
4.1 Initial Charging
- Connect the provided power adapter to the Micro USB port on the side of the device (refer to Figure 2).
- Plug the adapter into a power outlet. The device will begin charging.
- Allow the device to charge fully before first use for optimal battery life.
4.2 SIM Card Installation
- Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the device (refer to Figure 2).
- Carefully insert your 3G/4G compatible SIM card into the slot, ensuring correct orientation.
- The device will detect the SIM card automatically upon power-on or restart.
4.3 Thermal Paper Roll Installation
- Open the printer compartment cover (refer to Figure 4).
- Insert a 58mm thermal paper roll into the compartment, ensuring the paper feeds out from the top.
- Pull a small length of paper out and close the cover firmly until it clicks into place.
4.4 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Power button (located on the side) until the screen lights up.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Power button, then select 'Power Off' from the on-screen options.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Navigation
The Q2I runs on Android 8.1. Navigate using the 5.5-inch HD touch screen. Standard Android gestures (tap, swipe, pinch) apply. The device includes a Main Screen key, Return key, and Menu key at the bottom of the screen.
5.2 Network Connectivity
- Wi-Fi: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi. Select your network and enter the password.
- 3G/4G: Once a SIM card is installed, mobile data should activate automatically. Check Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network if issues arise.
- Bluetooth: Go to Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth. Turn on Bluetooth and pair with desired devices.
5.3 Application Management
The device supports Google Play Store for downloading and installing various applications. Pre-installed applications like Loyverse and e-Boleta (for Chile Sii e-boleta system) are available for POS and billing functions.

5.4 Thermal Printing
To print receipts or tickets, ensure a paper roll is correctly installed. Printing is typically initiated through a compatible POS application. The built-in 58mm thermal printer will automatically print the output.
5.5 Barcode Scanning
If your model includes the barcode scanner, press the dedicated Scan button (refer to Figure 3) to activate the scanner. Position the barcode within the scanner's field of view for quick identification (0.7 seconds for QR codes). The device also supports 1D barcode scanning.
5.6 NFC Function (Optional)
If your device supports NFC, it can read NFC cards or devices. This function is typically integrated into specific payment or identification applications.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Device
- Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and exterior of the device.
- For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen cleaner.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents.
6.2 Printer Head Care
Regularly clean the thermal printer head to ensure clear print quality. Use a specialized thermal printer cleaning pen or isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab. Ensure the device is off and cooled down before cleaning.
6.3 Battery Care
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures.
- Do not fully discharge the battery frequently. Charge the device when the battery level is low.
- If storing the device for an extended period, charge it to about 50% and power it off.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Device Not Powering On
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to the charger and wait a few minutes before attempting to power on again.
- Try a different power outlet or charging cable.
7.2 Printer Not Printing
- Check if the thermal paper roll is installed correctly and has enough paper.
- Ensure the printer compartment cover is securely closed.
- Verify that the application you are using is configured to print to the internal thermal printer.
- Restart the device and the application.
7.3 Network Connectivity Issues
- Wi-Fi: Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled and you are connected to the correct network with the right password. Restart your Wi-Fi router if necessary.
- 3G/4G: Check if the SIM card is properly inserted and activated. Verify mobile data is enabled in settings.
- Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both devices and they are within range. Try unpairing and re-pairing.
7.4 Barcode Scanner Not Working
- Ensure your device model includes the barcode scanner feature.
- Check if the scanning application is open and ready to scan.
- Ensure the barcode is clean, well-lit, and within the scanner's optimal range.
