5. Setup
5.1 Attaching the Collar Strap
- Thread one end of the nylon collar strap through the two slots on the back of the PD 258V device.
- Pull the strap through until the device is centered on the strap.
- Attach the buckle and adjustable slider to the strap ends, ensuring they are securely fastened.
5.2 Fitting the Collar on Your Dog
- Place the collar around your dog's neck, ensuring the device is positioned centrally on the front of the neck.
- Adjust the strap to a snug fit. You should be able to fit one or two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck. The sensors on the device should make good contact with your dog's skin.
- Secure the buckle.
The collar is suitable for dogs with a neck size of 6.3-26.4 inches and weighing between 4-100 lbs.
6. Operation
6.1 Power On/Off
- To power on the device, press and hold the power switch button (located on the side) until the indicator lights illuminate.
- To power off, press and hold the power switch button again until the lights turn off.
6.2 Adjusting Sensitivity
The PD 258V collar has 5 levels of sensitivity. Adjusting the sensitivity determines how easily the collar detects your dog's bark.
- Press the '+' button to increase the sensitivity (Push up). More lights indicate higher sensitivity.
- Press the '-' button to decrease the sensitivity (Cut down). Fewer lights indicate lower sensitivity.
Start with a lower sensitivity level and gradually increase it if your dog's barking is not being detected effectively. The indicator lights will show the current sensitivity level.
7. Charging
The PD 258V collar is rechargeable and uses a Polymer lithium battery.
- Locate the USB charging hole on the side of the device.
- Open the protective cover of the USB charging hole.
- Connect the provided USB charging cable to the device and plug the other end into a USB power source (e.g., laptop, USB charger, portable USB power bank).
- The indicator lights will show charging status.
- A full charge takes approximately 2 hours. Once fully charged, the collar can last up to 30 days with a standby time of up to 1 year.
Note: A USB charging port adapter is not included in the package.
8. Maintenance
