2. Setup Guide

2.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Choose a suitable location for the Auto-Empty Station. Ensure it is against a wall, with at least 0.5 meters of clear space on both sides and 1.5 meters in front for the robot to dock easily.
  3. Plug the adapter into the Auto-Empty Station and connect it to a power outlet.
  4. Ensure the dust bag is correctly installed in the Auto-Empty Station.

2.2 Initial Charging

Place the robot vacuum onto the charging contacts of the Auto-Empty Station. The robot will automatically begin charging. For first-time use, ensure the robot is fully charged (approximately 5 hours) before its initial cleaning cycle.

2.3 App Connection (Tuya APP)

  1. Download the Tuya Smart APP from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Register or log in to your Tuya account.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your GOOVI D900 robot vacuum cleaner. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network during setup.
  4. The app will guide you through connecting the robot to your home Wi-Fi.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Intelligent Navigation and Mapping

The GOOVI D900 utilizes an LDS (Laser Distance Sensor) Navigation System and SLAM Algorithm to scan your room at 360RPM, creating a real-time, high-precision map of your home. This allows for efficient and planned cleaning routes.

3.2 Cleaning Modes and Features

  • Automatic Cleaning: The robot will clean your home following a planned 'bow' shaped path, ensuring thorough coverage.
  • Area Partition Cleaning: Use the Tuya APP to define specific areas for cleaning or to exclude certain zones.
  • Finger Sweep: Directly control the robot's cleaning path via the app.
  • Y-shaped Wet Mopping: For deep cleaning and stain removal, the robot performs a Y-shaped mopping pattern. 3 levels of humidity can be adjusted via the app.
  • Obstacle Climbing: The robot can easily cross obstacles up to 2CM high, such as carpets and door thresholds.
  • No-Go Zones: Set up virtual boundaries in the app to protect valuable items or restrict access to certain areas.

3.3 Voice Prompts

4. Maintenance

4.1 Auto-Empty Station Dust Bag Replacement

The Auto-Empty Station automatically empties the robot's dust bin into a 3.2L oversized dust bag, providing up to 60 days of hands-free dust collection. Replace the dust bag when the indicator on the station or app notifies you.

  1. Open the top cover of the Auto-Empty Station.
  2. Carefully remove the full dust bag. The bag is auto-sealing for easy and clean disposal.
  3. Insert a new dust bag into the dust bag storage box.
  4. Close the top cover securely.

4.2 Robot Dust Bin and Water Tank

The robot has a 400ml dust bin and a 250ml water tank. Regularly empty the dust bin and refill the water tank as needed, especially before mopping cycles.

4.3 Filter and Brush Maintenance

  • HEPA Filters: Clean the HEPA filters regularly (e.g., weekly) by tapping out dust. Replace them every 3-6 months depending on usage.
  • Side Brushes: Check side brushes for tangled hair or debris. Clean or replace them if worn.
  • Main Brush: Remove the main brush and clean any tangled hair or debris.
  • Sensors: Wipe all sensors (infrared, laser) with a soft, dry cloth to ensure optimal performance.

4.4 UV Sterilization

The robot features UV sterilization at the bottom of the machine for enhanced hygiene. Ensure the UV light area is kept clean.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Robot not charging: Ensure the charging contacts on both the robot and the station are clean and free of obstructions. Verify the station is plugged in and powered on.
  • Robot not connecting to App: Check if your Wi-Fi network is 2.4Ghz. Restart your router, robot, and phone, then try connecting again.
  • Poor cleaning performance: Empty the dust bin, clean or replace filters, and check brushes for debris. Ensure the water tank is filled for mopping.
  • Robot getting stuck frequently: Clear obstacles from the cleaning path. Use the app to set up 'No-Go Zones' for problematic areas.
  • Dust bag full notification: Replace the dust bag in the auto-empty station.
