1. Introduction

The JINSERTA JS-8974 is a versatile 2-in-1 Bluetooth 5.2 audio adapter designed to seamlessly switch between transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) modes. It allows you to upgrade your wired audio devices to wireless Bluetooth functionality, providing high-fidelity sound quality with support for aptX-HD and aptX-LL codecs for low latency audio. This adapter is ideal for use with TVs, car audio systems, PCs, headphones, and speakers.

  • Mode Switch (TX/RX): Toggles between Transmitter and Receiver modes. Also functions as the power switch.

  • Antenna: For enhanced wireless signal transmission and reception.
  • Pilot Lamps (RX, TX, A, B): Indicate current mode and connected devices.

3. Setup and Charging

3.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the adapter. The device features a 500mAh polymer battery, providing up to 20 hours of continuous listening after a 2-hour charge.

  1. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the DC 5V charging port on the adapter.
  2. Connect the other end of the charging cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The charging indicator light will show the charging status. It will typically turn off or change color once fully charged.

3.2 Powering On/Off and Mode Selection

The mode switch also functions as the power switch.

  • To Power On: Slide the switch to either the 'TX' or 'RX' position.
  • To Power Off: Slide the switch to the center 'OFF' position.
  • To Select Mode: Slide the switch to 'TX' for Transmitter mode or 'RX' for Receiver mode.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Transmitter (TX) Mode

In TX mode, the adapter transmits audio from a non-Bluetooth device (e.g., TV, PC) to Bluetooth-enabled headphones or speakers.

  1. Set the mode switch to 'TX'.
  2. Connect the adapter's 3.5mm AUX port to the audio output (e.g., headphone jack) of your non-Bluetooth device (TV, PC).
  3. Place your Bluetooth headphones or speakers into pairing mode.
  4. The adapter will automatically search for and connect to nearby Bluetooth devices. The 'A' or 'B' pilot lamp will light up when a device is connected.
  5. Dual Connection: To connect a second Bluetooth device, press the A/B function key. The adapter will search for another device. Once connected, both 'A' and 'B' lamps will be lit, and you can switch between them using the A/B key.

4.2 Receiver (RX) Mode

In RX mode, the adapter receives audio from a Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) and outputs it to a wired audio device (e.g., wired speakers, car audio, wired headphones).

  1. Set the mode switch to 'RX'.
  2. Connect the adapter's 3.5mm AUX port to the audio input of your wired audio device (e.g., AUX-in on speakers, car stereo).
  3. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or notebook and search for the adapter (usually appears as "JS-8974" or similar).
  4. Select the adapter to pair. The 'A' or 'B' pilot lamp will light up upon successful connection.
  5. Dual Connection: To connect a second Bluetooth source device (e.g., another phone), press the A/B function key. The adapter will allow connection from another source. You can switch between the two connected source devices using the A/B key.

4.3 Dual Device Connection

The JS-8974 supports connecting to two devices simultaneously in both TX and RX modes:

  • TX Mode: Transmit audio to two Bluetooth headphones or speakers at the same time.
  • RX Mode: Connect two Bluetooth source devices (e.g., two smartphones) and switch between them to play music through your wired audio system.

Use the A/B function key to switch between the two connected devices.
