3. Setup Guide
3.1 Connecting Your Device
Follow these steps to connect your KICKPI KP1 TV Box to your television and power source:
- Connect to TV: Insert one end of the provided HD Cable into the HDMI port on the KICKPI KP1 (labeled 'HD Output' or '5' in the diagram below) and the other end into an available HDMI input on your television.
- Connect to Network (Optional): For a wired internet connection, connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the Ethernet Port on the KICKPI KP1 (labeled '4'). For wireless connection, this will be configured during initial setup.
- Connect Peripherals (Optional): You can connect USB devices (e.g., external storage, gamepads) to the USB 2.0 ports (labeled '2' and '3'). A Micro SD card can be inserted into the TF Card Slot (labeled '7').
- Connect Power: Insert the power adapter cable into the DC 12V Power Input port (labeled '6') on the KICKPI KP1. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet. Ensure you use the correct plug type for your region.
- Select Input: Turn on your television and select the corresponding HDMI input source using your TV remote.

3.2 Initial Configuration
Upon first power-on, the KICKPI KP1 will guide you through the initial setup process. This typically includes:

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Software Updates: The KICKPI KP1 supports OTA (Over-The-Air) updates. Ensure your device is connected to the internet to receive the latest software and security patches. You will typically be notified when an update is available.
- Ventilation: Ensure the device is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Do not block any ventilation openings.
- Power Off: When not in use for extended periods, it is recommended to power off the device and unplug the power adapter.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Power / Device Not Turning On:
- Check if the power adapter is securely connected to the device and the wall outlet.
- Ensure the wall outlet is functioning correctly.
- Try a different power outlet.
- No Signal on TV / Black Screen:
- Verify the HD Cable is securely connected to both the KICKPI KP1 and your TV.
- Ensure your TV is set to the correct HDMI input source.
- Try a different HDMI port on your TV or a different HD Cable.
- Remote Control Not Responding:
- Check the batteries in the remote control and replace them if necessary.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the device.
- For Bluetooth functions, ensure the remote is properly paired with the TV box. Refer to the initial setup for pairing instructions if needed.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi router is on and functioning.
- Check if the Wi-Fi password entered is correct.

- Move the device closer to the router or consider using a wired Ethernet connection.
- Applications Not Working / Freezing:
- Ensure the device has a stable internet connection.

It does not natively support traditional over-the-air (OTA) broadcast TV channels (like Globo, Band, SBT) without additional hardware (e.g., a USB TV tuner) or specific streaming applications that provide access to such content.
