Introduction
The MOOER MVP1 AUTUNER is a versatile voice retouch effect device designed to enhance vocal and instrument performances. It offers accurate voice correction, high-quality delay and reverb effects, and flexible input/output options for both microphones and instruments. Its intuitive dual-footswitch design simplifies operation, allowing users to easily achieve desired soundscapes.

Setup
- Power Connection: Connect a 9V DC, 1.5A power adapter to the 'DC IN' jack on the rear panel. Ensure the adapter's polarity matches the device's specifications (center negative).

Rear panel connections including DC IN, MIC XLR input, XLR OUT, GAIN, 48V switch, GND/LIFT switch, and LINE IN switch. - Microphone Connection: Connect your microphone to the 'MIC' XLR input. If your microphone requires phantom power, activate the '48V' switch located next to the MIC input. Adjust the 'GAIN' knob to set the input level for your microphone.
- Instrument Connection: Connect your instrument (e.g., guitar) to the 6.35mm 'INST IN' jack (not explicitly shown in images but implied by description).
- Output Connection:
- For balanced output, connect to a mixer or audio interface using the 'XLR OUT' jack.
- For unbalanced output, use the 6.35mm 'OUTPUT' jack on the side of the unit.

- GND and LINE IN Switch: Use the 'GND' switch to eliminate ground loop hum if present. The 'LINE IN' switch allows for external devices to be connected, enabling series use with other MOOER VP series effectors.
Operating Instructions
Controls Overview

- CORRECTION Knob: Adjusts the intensity of the voice correction function, providing natural, stable, and accurate pitch correction.
- DELAY Knob: Selects and adjusts delay effects. Options include Digital, Tape, and Slap delay.
- REVERB Knob: Selects and adjusts reverb effects. Options include Room, Hall, and Plate reverb.
- TONE Button: Cycles through three voice equalization options for microphone lines: Flat, Warm, and Bright.
- TAP Footswitch: Used for setting the tempo of the delay effect. A long press activates a one-click electrical sound effect.
- ON/OFF Footswitch: Activates or bypasses the overall effect.
Voice Effects
The MVP1 AUTUNER provides comprehensive vocal processing:
- Voice Correction: Use the CORRECTION knob to fine-tune your vocal pitch for a more stable and accurate performance.
- Delay & Reverb: Apply professional-grade delay and reverb effects using their respective knobs to add depth and space to your vocals.
- Tone Shaping: Cycle through the TONE options (Flat, Warm, Bright) to match your vocal timbre to the musical context.
- Electrical Sound Effect: Achieve a distinct 'electrical' vocal sound by long-pressing the TAP footswitch.
Instrument Effects
The delay and reverb effects can also be applied to instruments. To adjust these effects independently for instruments, simultaneously press both the TAP and ON/OFF footswitches to enter a 'hidden mode' (refer to the full manual for detailed instructions on this mode).
Output Modes
The MVP1 supports two output configurations:
- Instrument/Voice Hybrid Output: Both microphone and instrument signals are mixed and sent through the main outputs.
- Independent Line Output: Allows for separate processing or routing of instrument and vocal signals (specific routing details may require consulting the full manual).
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Power Supply: Always use the specified 9V/1.5A power adapter to prevent damage.
Troubleshooting
- No Sound Output:
- Check all cable connections (input, output, power).
- Ensure the power adapter is correctly connected and supplying power.
- Verify the ON/OFF footswitch is engaged (effect is active).
- Check the GAIN knob for microphone input level.
- Distorted Sound:
- Reduce the input GAIN level.
- Check the output level of the MVP1 and the input level of the connected amplifier/mixer.
- Auto Tuner Out of Tune / Not Recognizing Correct Note:
- Ensure your vocal input is clear and consistent.
- Adjust the CORRECTION knob to a lower setting for a more subtle effect, or a higher setting for more aggressive correction.
- Experiment with the TONE settings (Flat, Warm, Bright) as different equalization can affect pitch detection.
- Ensure no other pitch-altering effects are active in your signal chain that might interfere.
- Hum or Noise:
- Engage the 'GND' switch on the rear panel to help eliminate ground loop hum.
- Ensure all cables are in good condition and properly shielded.
- Try a different power outlet.
User Tips
- For a natural vocal sound, start with the CORRECTION knob at a lower setting and gradually increase it until the desired stability is achieved without sounding artificial.
- Experiment with the different DELAY and REVERB types (Digital, Tape, Slap; Room, Hall, Plate) to find the best fit for your performance space and musical style.
- The TONE button offers quick adjustments to your vocal presence. 'Warm' can add body, while 'Bright' can help vocals cut through a mix.
