  • Device not pairing: Ensure the sub-device's LED is blinking. If not, reset the device. For sensors/sockets, hold the RESET button for 5 seconds. For light sources, cycle power ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON.
  • Gateway offline: Check your Wi-Fi connection and ensure the gateway is powered on. Restart your Wi-Fi router and the gateway if necessary.
  • Cannot control devices remotely: Ensure your gateway is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi. Remote control relies on cloud connectivity through the Smart Life/Tuya App.
  • Bluetooth Gateway not connecting to Zigbee devices: The Bluetooth Gateway (JMWBG1) is only compatible with Bluetooth-enabled smart devices. It cannot connect to Zigbee devices. Similarly, the Zigbee Gateway (JMWZG1) is only for Zigbee devices.
  • Voice control not working: Verify that your Smart Life/Tuya Smart account is correctly linked to your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant account. Check device names for clarity and ensure the voice assistant recognizes them.

9. User Tips

  • Gateway Connectivity: The Bluetooth/Zigbee gateway connects to your home Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz only) to access the internet. Your Bluetooth or Zigbee devices then connect to the gateway, allowing you to control them via the Tuya/Smart Life app from anywhere in the world, as long as your gateway has an internet connection.
  • Range: The effective range for Bluetooth and Zigbee devices typically covers a standard home environment. Both technologies support mesh networking, which means devices can relay signals to each other, extending the overall coverage and reliability of your smart home network.
  • Sharing Control: Most smart home applications, including Tuya/Smart Life, allow you to share control of your devices with family members or other users. Look for a 'Share Device' or 'Home Management' option within the app settings to grant access to others.
  • Device Limits: The Zigbee gateway can typically support connecting 30-50 sub-devices, which is sufficient for most small to medium-sized homes or apartments.

10. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the gateway. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Smart Life/Tuya Smart App for available firmware updates for your gateway. Keeping the firmware updated ensures optimal performance and security.
  • Placement: Place the gateway in a central location within your home to maximize coverage for all connected devices. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or other sources of interference.

11. Warranty & Support

This product comes with a warranty to ensure your satisfaction and peace of mind.

  • Warranty Period: Free repair service is provided for 12 months from the date of receipt.
