When the battery indicator on the LCD screen shows low power, replace the batteries promptly to avoid interruption of operation or inaccurate readings. Refer to Section 5.1 for battery installation instructions.

7.3. Storage

  • If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Store the tachometer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • The recommended storage environment is -10 to 50°C with a maximum 70% RH (battery removed).

8. Troubleshooting

  • No display or weak display: Check battery level and replace if necessary. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
  • Inaccurate readings (non-contact): Ensure the reflective tape is properly applied and clean. Verify the measurement distance is within 50-500mm. Ensure the laser is aimed perpendicularly at the target.
  • Inaccurate readings (contact): Ensure the measuring accessory is securely attached and making firm contact with the rotating surface. Check for any wear or damage to the accessory.
  • Device does not respond: Try turning the device off and on again. If the issue persists, replace the batteries.
