3. Setup Instructions

3.1. Charging the Battery

Before initial use, fully charge the walkie-talkie battery. The device features a 1620mAh Li-ion rechargeable battery.

  1. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the Charging Jack on the side of the walkie-talkie.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., USB adapter, power bank, computer, or vehicle charging port).
  3. The hidden display will show a charging indicator. A full charge typically takes 3-4 hours.

3.2. Power On/Off

To power on the walkie-talkie, rotate the Power/Volume Knob clockwise until you hear a click and the display illuminates. To power off, rotate the knob counter-clockwise until it clicks off.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Channel Selection

Your walkie-talkie supports up to 16 channels. Use the Channel +/- buttons to select your desired channel. Ensure all radios in your group are on the same channel for communication.

4.2. Transmitting and Receiving

  • To Transmit: Press and hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to stop transmitting and listen for a response.
  • To Receive: Ensure the PTT button is not pressed. The radio will automatically receive signals on the selected channel.

4.3. VOX (Voice Operated Exchange) Hands-free

The VOX function allows you to transmit without pressing the PTT button, enabling hands-free operation. This is particularly useful when your hands are occupied.

  • To Activate VOX: Turn off the walkie-talkie. Then, press and hold the [UP] key while turning the Power/Volume Knob clockwise to power on the device. This will activate the voice control function.
  • To Deactivate VOX: Repeat the activation steps.

4.4. Channel Lock

The Channel Lock feature prevents accidental channel changes. Long press the designated function key (refer to Figure 3 for location) to lock or unlock the current channel.

4.5. Emergency Alarm

In case of an emergency, activate the emergency alarm function to signal for help. Press the Emergency Alarm button (refer to Figure 3 for location) to initiate the alarm.

5. Maintenance

  • Keep the walkie-talkie dry. If it gets wet, wipe it immediately.
  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures.
  • Clean the device with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Ensure the charging port is free of dust and debris.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the battery is charged and properly inserted. Check the Power/Volume Knob is turned on.
  • Cannot Transmit/Receive: Verify that all radios are on the same channel. Check if the Channel Lock is active. Ensure you are within the maximum range.
  • Poor Audio Quality: Check volume levels. Ensure the microphone and speaker are not obstructed. Move closer to the other radio if range is an issue.
  • VOX Not Working: Ensure VOX is activated correctly (refer to section 4.3).
