3. Safety Precautions

  • If the signal search exceeds 10 minutes, the device will automatically power down.
  • Incoming calls ringing for 8 seconds will be answered automatically.
  • The signal distance indicated on the product is a tested distance that may vary due to environmental factors during actual use.
  • The automatic answering of incoming calls can be enabled or disabled.
  • When power level falls below 20%, the indicator light flashes slowly in red.
  • The language can be switched between Chinese and English. After powering on, press and hold the phone button and power button simultaneously for 5 seconds to switch languages.

4. Setup and Installation

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Button Descriptions

The Houtonsen S3 features intuitive buttons for easy control:

Power Button Function:

  • To turn on: Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. You will hear "Power On", and the indicator light will flash alternately in red and blue.
  • To turn off: Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. You will hear "Power Off", and the indicator light will remain red.
  • Light control: Click the Volume "+" and Volume "-" buttons simultaneously to change the RGB light color.
  • Pause/Play Music: Double press the power button.

5.2 Telephone Function

  • Answer/End Call: When receiving a call, press the phone button to answer or end the call.
  • Reject Call: When receiving a call, press and hold the phone button for two seconds to reject the call.
  • Automatic Answering of Incoming Calls: Calls will be answered automatically after eight seconds of ringing. This feature can be toggled on or off.
  • Toggle Auto-Answer: To activate or deactivate automatic answering, simultaneously press and hold the phone button and volume "-" for 5 seconds.
  • Voice Assistant Function: In the unmatched state, double press the phone button to activate the voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant).

5.3 Bluetooth Function (Device Pairing)

  1. Power On & Pairing Mode: Turn on the device by holding down the power button for 5 seconds while in off mode. You will hear "Bluetooth Pairing" and the indicator light will flash alternately in red and blue.
  2. Initiate Bluetooth Pairing (after Intercom): If intercom pairing was previously active, press the phone button. You will hear "Turn off Intercom", and the indicator light will flash alternately in red and blue, indicating Bluetooth pairing can proceed.
  3. Successful Pairing: Once the indicator light flashes blue slowly, pairing is successful, and you will hear "Bluetooth Connected".
  4. Switching Modes: To switch between Bluetooth and intercom modes, simply press the phone button.
  5. Clear Pairing Records: To remove all existing Bluetooth and intercom pairing records, press the phone button and volume "+" simultaneously for 5 seconds.

5.4 Intercom Function

Intercom Headphone Pairing:

  1. After powering on the device, press and hold the telephone button for 2 seconds. The indicator light will alternate between red and green, accompanied by "Pairing in Progress".
  2. A steady, slow green blinking indicator light confirms successful pairing, and you will hear "Pairing Successful", indicating the transition into intercom mode.

Switching Modes & Standby:

  • Switching to Bluetooth: To shift from intercom mode to Bluetooth mode, press the telephone button once.
  • Intercom Mode Standby: When both Bluetooth and intercom connections are established, and the intercom signal is lost (e.g., due to exceeding communication range), the indicator light will exhibit a gradual, simultaneous blue and green blinking pattern.
  • Automatic Reconnection: Devices with previous pairing history will automatically initiate a signal search and complete the intercom pairing process upon startup.
  • Clear Pairing Records: To remove any existing pairing records, simultaneously press the telephone button and the volume "+" button for 5 seconds.

5.5 Music Playback Function

To play music, ensure your mobile app is open and connected via Bluetooth.

  • Volume Control: Use the "+" button to increase volume and the "-" button to decrease it.
  • Song Switch (Next): Long-press the "+" button for two seconds.
  • Song Switch (Previous): Long-press the "-" button for two seconds.
  • Pause/Play: Double press the power button.

5.6 LED Light Control

Upon powering on the device, press the power button to switch between blue, green, and red LED light colors.

5.7 Voice Navigation and Assistant

  • Voice Navigation: The headset has built-in voice navigation capabilities and can connect to a smartphone or navigation device via Bluetooth to provide directions.
  • Voice Assistant: In an unmatched state, double-press the phone button to activate your phone's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant).

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the headset surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
