1. Product Overview
The ANENG VD802 is a pen-style non-contact AC voltage detector (NCV) designed for safe and efficient electrical testing. It provides a reliable method to detect AC voltage in circuits, outlets, and wires without direct contact, enhancing safety for users. Its features include intelligent zero/firewire recognition, breakpoint detection, adjustable sensitivity, and an integrated LED flashlight for use in low-light conditions.

2. Package Contents
Please check the package for the following items:
- 1 x ANENG VD802 AC Voltage Tester
- 1 x User Manual

3. Setup and Battery Installation
The ANENG VD802 requires 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries (not included) for operation.
- Locate the battery compartment cover, usually at the rear or bottom of the device.
- Open the battery compartment.
- Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Warning: Ensure the device is off before installing or replacing batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- Press the power button (usually marked with a power symbol) to turn the device on.
- The device will automatically shut down after 5 minutes of inactivity or if no AC voltage is detected, to conserve battery life.

4.2 Non-Contact AC Voltage Detection
The VD802 detects AC voltage in the range of 12V to 1000V AC (50/60Hz).
- Turn on the device.
- Bring the non-contact tip of the tester close to the wire, outlet, or circuit you wish to test.
- If AC voltage is detected, the tester will emit an audible alarm (beeping sound) and the LED indicator will flash. The frequency of the beeping and flashing may increase with stronger voltage signals.
4.3 Sensitivity Adjustment
The device features adjustable sensitivity for different testing scenarios.
- Press the 'S' button to cycle through high, medium, and low sensitivity modes.
- Adjust sensitivity as needed to avoid false positives or to detect voltage in less accessible areas.
4.4 Zero/Firewire Recognition
The VD802 can intelligently distinguish between live (fire) and neutral (zero) wires.
- When testing an outlet or wire, the device will indicate a live wire with a fast flashing red light and a rapid hum.
- For a neutral wire, the indicator will not be bright or will show a different, less intense signal.

4.5 Line Breakpoint Detection
This feature helps locate breaks in live wires.
- Move the tester along the length of a live wire.
- The device will indicate the presence of electricity with a red light flashing and a hum.
- When the tester passes a breakpoint, the alarm will stop or significantly change, indicating the interruption in the circuit.

4.6 Zero Wire Insulation Testing
The VD802 can assist in safely determining the quality of zero wire insulation.

4.7 Flashlight Function
The integrated LED flashlight can be activated for use in dark environments.
- Press the flashlight button (usually marked with a light bulb symbol) to turn the flashlight on or off.
5. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: If the device does not power on or the indicators are dim, replace the AAA batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Transparent Cover: The device features a high-strength transparent cover designed to be scratch-resistant, not easy to break, and wear-resisting.

6. Troubleshooting
- Device not turning on: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
- Inconsistent readings: Ensure the tip is close enough to the conductor. Adjust sensitivity using the 'S' button. Ensure there are no strong electromagnetic fields nearby that could interfere with readings.
- No alarm when voltage is present: Verify the device is powered on and batteries are good. Ensure the NCV tip is making proper proximity contact.
