1. Introduction

The Huepar LR-5RG Laser Receiver is designed to extend the working range of Huepar line laser levels, allowing for detection of red and green pulse laser beams in various lighting conditions. This receiver features dual LCD displays, adjustable volume, and a backlight for clear readings, making it an essential tool for construction and DIY projects.

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The LR-5RG receiver requires batteries for operation. Locate the battery compartment on the rear of the device. Open the compartment, insert the required batteries (typically AA, check the compartment for specific type and polarity), and close the cover securely.

2.2 Mounting the Receiver

The receiver can be handheld or mounted using its integrated clamp holder. The clamp holder allows attachment to a measuring rod or other suitable surfaces. The device also features a 1/4" thread mount for tripod compatibility.

2.3 Activating Pulse Mode on Laser Level

IMPORTANT: Before using the LR-5RG receiver, ensure that your Huepar laser level is set to Pulse Mode. The receiver will not detect the laser beam if the laser level is not in pulse mode.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off

Press the 'ON/OFF' button on the keypad to turn the receiver on or off.

3.2 Using the Dual LCD Display

The LR-5RG features dual LCD displays (front and rear) for easy visual readout from different angles. The displays show the laser line's position relative to the receiver's datum line using arrows.

3.3 Interpreting Level Indicators

  • Up Arrow: Indicates the receiver needs to be moved upwards to align with the laser line.
  • Down Arrow: Indicates the receiver needs to be moved downwards to align with the laser line.
  • Horizontal Line: Indicates the receiver is perfectly aligned with the laser line.

Adjust the height of the receiver until the horizontal datum line and the arrows disappear on the LCD display, indicating precise alignment.

3.4 Adjusting Volume

Press the volume button to cycle through Loud, Soft, or Mute buzzer settings. The buzzer provides an audible indication when the laser line is detected.

3.5 Adjusting Accuracy

The receiver offers adjustable accuracy settings to suit different job requirements. Refer to the display icons to select the desired accuracy level.

3.6 Backlight Feature

Activate the backlight feature for improved visibility of the LCD display in low-light conditions.

3.7 Automatic Power Off

The receiver is equipped with an automatic power-off function that activates after 10 minutes of no signal detection, conserving battery life.

  • Keep the receiver dry and clean.
