1. Introduction

3. Safety Precautions

WARNING: Non-professionals should not attempt to replace the LED backlight strips. Improper handling can lead to injury or damage to the television. Seek assistance from a professional technician if you are not confident in your technical skills.

• The LCD screen is extremely fragile. Handle with utmost care during disassembly and installation to prevent damage.
• Beware of bright light emitted by the LEDs during testing. Avoid direct eye exposure.
• When testing the LED strips, ensure correct polarity (positive/negative terminals) to prevent damage to the strips or the TV's power supply.
• Always disconnect the TV from the main power supply before beginning any repair or installation work.

4. Installation Instructions

Replacing LED backlight strips requires careful attention to detail. Follow these steps:

1. Disassembly: Carefully disassemble your TV, paying close attention to the LCD screen. Remember, the LCD screen is very fragile.
2. Old Strip Removal: Gently remove the old, faulty LED backlight strips.
3. New Strip Preparation: Upon receipt, do NOT remove the blue adhesive backing from the new LED strips immediately.
4. Initial Testing: After placing the new strip in position (without fully adhering it), power on the TV and test the new strip for 3-10 minutes to ensure it lights up properly and functions as expected. This step is crucial to verify functionality before final assembly.

7. Final Adhesion: Only after confirming normal operation during the initial test, remove the blue adhesive backing and firmly attach the strip to its designated position.
8. Alignment: During installation, align the new LED strip exactly with the position of the old strip. Incorrect alignment may cause mismatch with the reflective sheet holes, leading to light leakage or uneven illumination.

11. Optical Film Orientation: Do not mix up the order or orientation of the light guide plate and optical films. After removal, carefully note their sequence and front/back sides. Incorrect reinstallation may lead to color distortion, uneven tint, visible shadows, or individual LEDs being seen from outside the TV.

13. Reassembly: Once the new strips are securely installed and tested, carefully reassemble the TV components in reverse order of disassembly.

5. Operation

Once the LED backlight strips are correctly installed, the TV will operate as usual. The backlight will illuminate automatically when the TV is powered on. No special operation is required for the LED strips themselves.

6. Maintenance

• Keep the interior of your TV clean and free from dust to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the LED strips.
• Avoid exposing the TV to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
• Do not attempt to clean the LED strips directly with liquids. If cleaning is necessary, use a dry, soft cloth.

7. Troubleshooting

• LED strips not lighting up: Ensure correct polarity during connection. Recheck all connections. Verify that the TV's power supply is functioning correctly.
• Uneven illumination or visible shadows: This often indicates incorrect alignment of the LED strips or improper reinstallation of the light guide plate and optical films. Carefully re-check the alignment and orientation as described in the installation section.
• Color distortion: May be caused by incorrect reinstallation or mixing up the order/orientation of optical films.
• Individual LEDs visible from outside the TV: This is a symptom of incorrect reinstallation of optical films.

8. User Tips

• Before purchasing, always verify the exact model number and specifications of your existing LED strips against the product description to ensure compatibility.
• Take photos during each step of the TV disassembly process. This will serve as a helpful guide during reassembly.
• Work in a clean, well-lit area to avoid losing small components and to ensure proper visibility during delicate tasks.
