Ensure all power is disconnected before proceeding with installation. Connect the LED controller to your LED strip and power supply according to the wiring diagrams below. The controller operates on DC5V-24V.
5.1. Wiring Diagrams
Refer to the specific wiring diagram for your controller model and LED strip type:
6. Operation
6.1. Bluetooth APP Control (BanlanX App)
The controller supports App control for both iOS and Android devices. iOS devices require iOS 10.0 or higher, and Android devices require Android 4.4 or higher.
- Download the App: Search for "BanlanX" in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), or scan the QR code provided in the product packaging to download and install the app.
- Add Device: Open the BanlanX App. Click the "+" icon in the top right corner of the home page to add your controller device.
- Settings and Customization: Click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the App to enter the settings page. Here you can modify the device name, set timings, configure on/off effects, and perform OTA firmware upgrades.
- Group Control: The app allows for free control of lighting within a grouping. You can set up zones and control multiple controllers simultaneously. To add/remove groups, follow the in-app instructions (refer to Figure 15).
- Calibration Channel Sequence: For accurate color representation, use the in-app calibration feature (refer to Figure 15).
6.2. 2.4G RF Remote Control
The 2.4G RF remote control allows for direct control of your LED strips. The remote supports one-to-many control (one remote can control multiple controllers) and many-to-one control (each controller can bind up to 5 remote controls).
Binding/Unbinding Remote:
- Bind: Within 20 seconds after the controller is powered on, long press the ON button on the remote.
- Unbind: Within 20 seconds after the controller is powered on, first turn off the lights completely, then long press the OFF button to clear all bound remote controls.
Refer to the specific remote layout for your controller model:
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the controller and remote. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Environment: Ensure the controller is installed in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and corrosive gases.
- Power Supply: Always use a compatible DC5V-24V power supply. Incorrect voltage can damage the device.
- Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and apply OTA firmware updates via the BanlanX App to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
8. Troubleshooting
- Lights not turning on:
- Check power connections to the controller and LED strip.
- Ensure the power supply is functioning correctly and providing the correct voltage (DC5V-24V).
- Verify the LED strip is correctly wired to the controller according to the pin configuration.
- Remote not responding:
- Check the battery in the remote control.
- Ensure the remote is properly bound to the controller (refer to Section 6.2).
- Reduce the distance between the remote and the controller, ensuring no major obstructions.
