6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear image quality. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the Ctronics Pro App or official website periodically for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Power Supply: Ensure the power supply and connections remain secure and free from damage.
  • Environmental Protection: While the camera is IP66 rated, extreme weather conditions can still impact performance. Ensure proper installation to minimize exposure to severe elements.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Camera Not Connecting/Available:
    • Check if the camera is properly powered on.
    • Verify your WiFi network is active and the camera is within range.
    • Ensure correct WiFi password entry during setup.
    • If using 5GHz WiFi, confirm your router supports it and the signal is strong enough.
    • Try resetting the camera (refer to the quick start guide for reset button location).
  • Poor Image Quality:
    • Clean the camera lens.
    • Check your network connection speed; a slow connection can affect streaming quality.
    • Ensure the camera is not facing direct strong light sources that could cause glare.
  • SD Card Not Recording:
    • Ensure the Micro SD card is inserted correctly.
    • Format the Micro SD card via the app settings.
    • Check if the card is full; consider enabling loop recording or upgrading to a larger capacity card (up to 256GB).
    • Verify recording schedules are correctly set in the app.
  • False Alarms:
    • Adjust the motion detection sensitivity in the app.
    • Define specific detection zones to exclude areas with frequent irrelevant motion (e.g., moving trees).
    • Ensure AI detection for Human/Vehicle/Pet is enabled if you want to filter out other movements.
  • Compatibility with NVR Systems:
    • The camera supports the standard ONVIF protocol. This means it should be compatible with most NVRs that also support ONVIF. Refer to your NVR's manual for adding ONVIF-compatible cameras.

8. User Tips

  • Optimal WiFi Performance: For best results, especially with 4K streaming, try to connect the camera to a 5GHz WiFi network if available and within range. If the camera is far from the router, 2.4GHz might offer better range, but 5GHz provides stronger signals and less interference.
  • Maximize Storage: If using a Micro SD card, consider a 256GB card for extended recording periods. Regularly back up important footage to prevent loss.
  • Utilize Preset Positions: For areas you frequently check, set up preset positions to quickly switch views without manual panning and tilting.
  • Smart Night Vision: Leverage the intelligent auto night vision mode for a balance of stealth (IR) and detailed color footage when activity is detected. Remember you can toggle the red & blue alarm lights as needed.
