4. Setup Guide

Follow these steps for proper installation of your motherboard components:

4.1 CPU Installation

CPU Installation Steps
Visual guide for CPU installation.
  1. Press down on the lever and lift it: Locate the CPU socket lever on the motherboard. Gently press down and then lift the lever to open the socket retention mechanism.
  2. Open CPU cover: Carefully open the metal CPU cover.
  3. Align the triangle symbols of the two and gently place them into the CPU: Match the triangular alignment mark on your CPU with the corresponding mark on the CPU socket. Carefully place the CPU into the socket without forcing it.
  4. Remove CPU plastic cover: Once the CPU is seated, remove the plastic protective cover from the socket.
  5. Align the groove with the screw hole and lower the lever: Close the metal CPU cover, ensuring the groove aligns with the screw hole. Then, push the lever back down and secure it under the retention clip to lock the CPU in place.

Installation Considerations:

  • Do not touch CPU contacts with your hands.
  • Do not touch CPU pins on the motherboard.

4.2 Memory (RAM) Installation

The motherboard supports Dual Channel DDR3 memory. It has two 240-pin DDR3 memory slots, supporting a maximum capacity of 16GB (8GB per slot).

  1. Open the clips at both ends of the memory slot.
  2. Align the notch on the DDR3 memory module with the key in the memory slot.
  3. Insert the memory module firmly into the slot until the clips on both sides snap into place.
  4. Ensure both clips are fully closed and the memory module is securely seated.

Note: Only DDR3 desktop memory is supported. For best compatibility and stability, use international brands such as Samsung, Kingston, Sandee, Micron, or Hynix.

4.3 Storage Device Installation (M.2 SSD & SATA Drives)

The motherboard features one NGFF M.2 slot (SATA M.2 protocol) and four SATA ports (3 x SATA 2.0, 1 x SATA 3.0).

  1. M.2 SSD: Insert the M.2 SSD into the M.2 slot at an angle, then gently push it down and secure it with the provided screw. The M.2 slot supports 2280 SSDs.
  2. SATA Drives: Connect your SATA hard drives or SSDs to the SATA ports using SATA data cables. Connect the other end of the SATA data cable to your storage device. Ensure your power supply has SATA power connectors for your drives.

4.4 Connecting Peripherals and Power

  • Power Connectors: Connect the 24-pin main power connector and the 8-pin CPU power connector from your power supply to the corresponding sockets on the motherboard.
  • CPU Fan: Connect your CPU cooler fan to the 4-pin CPU FAN header. Additional case fans can be connected to the 3-pin FAN header.
  • Front Panel Connectors: Connect the power button, reset button, power LED, and HDD LED from your computer case to the F_PANEL (2x5Pin) header. Refer to your case manual for specific pin assignments.
  • USB Ports: Connect front panel USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports from your case to the respective USB headers on the motherboard.
  • Audio: Connect your front panel audio to the AAFP connector.
  • Rear I/O Ports: Connect your monitor to the HDMI or VGA port. Connect your keyboard and mouse to the PS/2 ports or USB ports. Connect your Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port for network access.

5. Operation

Once all components are installed and connected, you can power on your system.

  1. Ensure all power cables are securely connected.
  2. Press the power button on your computer case.
  3. The system should boot up, and you will see the BIOS/UEFI screen or your operating system loading.
  4. You may need to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup (usually by pressing DEL or F2 during boot) to configure boot order, enable XMP for memory, or adjust other settings.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance can extend the lifespan of your motherboard and ensure stable operation:

  • Keep it Clean: Regularly clean dust from the motherboard and components using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • Avoid Static Discharge: Always ground yourself before handling the motherboard or any internal components to prevent damage from static electricity.
  • Proper Ventilation: Ensure your computer case has adequate airflow to prevent overheating of components.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for BIOS/UEFI updates, which can improve stability and compatibility.

7. Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:

7.1 CPU Pin Bending or Broken Pin Problem

Normal vs. Abnormal CPU Socket Pins
Comparison of normal and abnormal (bent/broken) CPU socket pins.

Motherboards undergo strict testing before delivery. If you encounter issues with bent or broken CPU pins upon receiving the package, it is crucial to document the unboxing process with a complete unpacking video (including the order number). Contact customer service immediately if you observe any abnormalities.

7.2 No Power / System Not Booting

  • Power Supply: Ensure your power supply unit (PSU) is powerful enough to support all components. This platform requires a powerful PSU, at least a 500W brand power supply is recommended.
  • Power Connections: Double-check that the 24-pin main power connector and the 8-pin CPU power connector are securely seated on the motherboard.
  • Front Panel Connections: Verify that the power button cable from your case is correctly connected to the F_PANEL header.
  • Components: Try booting with minimal components (CPU, one RAM stick, GPU if no integrated graphics) to isolate the issue.

7.3 No Display Output

  • Monitor Connection: Ensure your monitor is correctly connected to the HDMI or VGA port on the motherboard (if using integrated graphics) or your dedicated graphics card.
  • RAM: Reseat your DDR3 RAM modules. Incorrectly seated RAM is a common cause of no display.
  • Graphics Card: If using a dedicated graphics card, ensure it is properly seated in the PCIe x16 slot and has adequate power connected.

8. User Tips

  • Memory Compatibility: For optimal performance and stability, use DDR3 desktop memory from reputable international brands such as Samsung, Kingston, Sandee, Micron, or Hynix. Other brands may experience compatibility issues.
  • Power Supply: Always ensure you have a sufficiently powerful and reliable power supply unit (PSU). A minimum of a 500W brand power supply is strongly recommended for stable operation of this motherboard and its compatible components.
  • Component Testing: If you encounter issues, try testing components individually or with known working parts to pinpoint the problem.

9. Warranty and Support

For any warranty claims, technical support, or further assistance, please contact the seller or manufacturer directly. Keep your purchase records, including the order number, as they may be required for support.
