10. Installation of Detectors
10.1. Magnetic Door/Window Detector Installation
Magnetic Door Sensor (battery not included).
Install the magnetic door detector on a door or window frame. Ensure:
- The gap between the magnet and the sensor is less than 10mm.
- After installation, open the door/window to check if the indicator light on the detector turns on, confirming successful installation.
- If the indicator light flashes when triggered, the battery is low and needs replacement (12V 23A battery).
- Test the transmitting distance before final installation; obstacles can reduce the 100-meter open-area range.
10.2. PIR Motion Detector Installation
PIR Motion Sensor detection range.
To avoid false alarms, pay attention to the following when installing the PIR motion detector:
- Do not face glass windows.
- Do not face large objects that are prone to swinging.
- Avoid placing it directly opposite cold/heat air vents or sources.
- Ensure furniture, mini-escapes, or other obstructions are away from the detecting scope.
- Do not install two or more detectors in the same area, as this can cause interference.
- If the LED indicator flashes when triggered, the battery is low and needs replacement (3V CR2450 battery).
- The detecting distance is less than 8 meters, and the transmitting distance is less than 100 meters. Test the distance after installation.
11. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the stable and safe operation of your alarm system. It is recommended to inspect the system every three months and detectors every month.
11.1. Alarm Host Inspection
- Check if the host can arm and disarm normally.
- Verify that the host can make calls through the preset phone numbers when an alarm occurs.
- Confirm that the host receives signals from detectors normally and that the backup battery functions correctly.
11.2. Detector Inspection
- Manually trigger each detector to ensure it sends the alarm signal successfully.
- Check the battery level of each detector to see if it is low.
12. User Tips
- Regular Testing: Periodically test all sensors and the main alarm panel to ensure they are functioning correctly, especially after power outages or network changes.
- Battery Management: Keep spare batteries for wireless sensors (CR2450 for PIR, 12V 23A for Door Sensor, CR2032 for Remote Control) and replace them promptly when low battery alerts are received.
- Password Security: Change the default password (1234) immediately after setup to a strong, unique password.
- App Notifications: Ensure your Tuya Smart app has notifications enabled on your smartphone to receive instant alerts.
- Zone Customization: Utilize the different zone types (Normal, Stay, Smart, Emergency, Close) to tailor the alarm system's behavior to your specific needs and daily routines.
13. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ONENUO Home Security Smart Anti-Theft WiFi Alarm System, consider the following:
- No Alarm Trigger: Ensure sensors are correctly paired and within range. Check sensor batteries. Verify the system is armed (not disarmed or in a deactivated zone type).
- False Alarms: Review PIR motion sensor placement to avoid heat sources, direct sunlight, or moving objects. Check door/window sensor gaps.
- WiFi Connection Issues: Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. Re-attempt the WiFi connection process as described in Section 5.3. Check your router for connectivity.
- GSM Issues: Verify the SIM card is correctly inserted and has an active plan. Check GSM signal strength (SIGNAL light status).
- Remote Control Not Working: Check the remote control battery (CR2032). Re-pair the remote control if necessary (Section 7.1).
- App Not Responding: Ensure your smartphone has an active internet connection. Restart the app or your phone.
