7. Vehicle Accelerometer & Slope Meter

7.1. Vehicle Accelerometer (G-Value Table)

The built-in accelerometer provides G-value readings, which are essential for performance monitoring:

  • Acceleration G-value: Indicates the force during acceleration.
  • Braking G-value: Shows the force during braking.
  • Left Turn G-value: Measures lateral force during left turns.
  • Right Turn G-value: Measures lateral force during right turns.

A larger G-value signifies stronger acceleration/deceleration performance and better cornering control.

10. Troubleshooting

  • No Display/Power:
    • Ensure the OBD cable is securely plugged into both the HUD unit and the vehicle's OBD2 port.
    • Verify your vehicle's compatibility with OBD2 (refer to Section 4.1).
    • Check the vehicle's ignition status; the HUD typically powers on with the ignition.
  • Inaccurate Speed/Data:
    • If using GPS mode, ensure the unit has a clear view of the sky for satellite acquisition.
    • Check the 'Speed Unit' setting in the System Set menu to ensure it matches your preference (KM/H or MPH).
    • If OBD data is inaccurate, ensure your vehicle is fully OBD2 compliant and the connection is stable.
  • Alarms Not Functioning:
    • Navigate to the settings menu and verify that the specific alarm functions (e.g., Overspeed, Water Temperature) are enabled and configured correctly.
  • Screen Freezes or Malfunctions:
    • Try restarting the device by unplugging and re-plugging the OBD cable.
    • If the issue persists, perform a factory reset (if available in settings, consult seller for specific instructions).
  • Ambient Lights Not Working:
    • Check the ambient light settings in the System Set menu to ensure they are enabled and configured as desired.

11. User Tips

  • Optimal Placement: Experiment with different dashboard positions to find the best spot that offers clear visibility without obstructing your view of the road.
  • Cable Management: Take time to neatly route the OBD cable to prevent it from interfering with pedals or other controls, and to maintain a clean interior aesthetic.
  • Brightness Adjustment: Utilize the automatic brightness feature or manually adjust it in the settings for optimal visibility during both day and night driving conditions.
  • Explore Interfaces: Familiarize yourself with the 13 different display interfaces and themes to quickly switch to the information most relevant to your current driving needs.
  • Off-Road Safety: When driving off-road, pay close attention to the slope meter and accelerometer readings to monitor vehicle stability and prevent dangerous situations.

12. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the display screen and the unit's body. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the surface.
  • Cable Care: Ensure the OBD cable is not pinched or excessively bent, which could lead to damage.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, disconnect it from the vehicle and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

13. Warranty and Support
