1. Introduction
The CPVAN Tuya Wifi CP2W Smart Alarm System is designed to provide comprehensive security for your home, shed, garage, truck, and other valuable properties. This system features a motion sensor, remote controls, and door/window sensors, all controllable via the Tuya or Smart Life mobile application. With a loud 125dB alarm and instant app notifications, it ensures you are always informed and safe.

2. Product Components
The CP2W Smart Alarm System typically includes the following main components:
- Alarm Host (Motion Sensor): The central unit that detects motion and emits the alarm.
- Remote Controls: For arming, disarming, and SOS functions.
- Door/Window Sensors: For detecting the opening of doors or windows.
- USB Type-C Cable: For powering the alarm host.

Motion Sensor (Alarm Host) Parts:
- Volume/Pairing button
- Arming/Disarming button
- Mode Button
- Siren (125dB)
- Detection Window
- Backup battery compartment (batteries not included)
- Child Safety Screw
- DC5V (USB Type-C port)
Remote Control Parts:
- Disarm Button
- Arm Button
- Adjusting Volume
- SOS Button
3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Powering the Alarm Host
- Connect the alarm host to a power source using the provided USB Type-C cable (DC 5V).
- For backup power, install compatible batteries (not included) into the backup battery compartment.

3.2 App Installation and Pairing
- Download the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app from your mobile device's app store.
- Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. The system does not support 5GHz networks.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to add a new device.
- Put the alarm host into pairing mode (refer to Figure 2, item 1 for the Volume/Pairing button).
- The app will guide you through connecting the alarm host to your WiFi network.
3.3 Pairing Accessories (Remote Controls, Door/Window Sensors)
The system is highly scalable. You can pair multiple remote controls and door/window sensors with your alarm host.
- Remote Controls: A single remote can control multiple alarm hosts. Conversely, multiple remotes can control one alarm host.
- Door/Window Sensors: One or more door/window sensors can be paired with multiple alarm hosts. When a paired door/window sensor is triggered, all associated alarm hosts will sound simultaneously.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Arming and Disarming the System
The alarm system can be controlled in three ways:
- Mobile App (Tuya/Smart Life): Use the app to arm or disarm the system remotely.
- Remote Control: Press the 'Arm' or 'Disarm' buttons on the remote control.
- Host Button: Use the Arming/Disarming button on the alarm host itself.

4.2 Delay Arming
When arming the system with the remote control, there is a 3-second delay before the alarm becomes active. This allows you time to leave the alert area without triggering the alarm.

4.3 Alarm Modes and Volume Adjustment
- Chime Function: Suitable for daytime use, acting as a doorbell or entry alert.
- Alarm Function: For nighttime or security mode, emitting a loud 125dB sound to deter intruders.
- The volume of alarms and ringtones can be adjusted using the volume button on the host or the remote control.
4.4 App Features
Through the Tuya or Smart Life app, you can:
- Set different alarm modes.
- Customize names for each accessory (e.g., "Front Door Sensor").
- Monitor the status of all accessories.
- Receive instant notifications when an alarm is triggered.
- Check historical records of alarms and events.

4.5 Working Principle
The system operates based on the following principles:
- Door/Window Sensor Trigger: If a door or window is opened while armed, the sensor sends a signal to the alarm host, triggering the alarm and sending an APP push notification.
- Motion Detector Trigger: If motion is detected by the PIR sensor while armed, the alarm host triggers the alarm and sends an APP push notification.

5. Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: The door/window sensors are powered by button batteries (DC 12V). Replace them when the low voltage alarm is triggered. The alarm host can use backup batteries (not included) which should be checked periodically.
- Child Safety Screw: Ensure the child safety screw on the motion sensor is securely fastened to prevent accidental tampering.
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the exterior of the devices with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
6. Troubleshooting
- No App Connection: Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. The system does not support 5GHz WiFi. Check your router settings if necessary.
- Sensors Not Triggering: Verify that the sensors are correctly paired with the alarm host. Check battery levels for door/window sensors. Ensure the alarm host is armed.
- Alarm Not Sounding: Check the alarm host's power supply. Ensure the volume is not set to minimum. Verify the alarm mode is active (not chime mode).
- False Alarms: Ensure motion sensors are placed away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafts that could cause false triggers. Adjust sensitivity if available in the app settings.

- WiFi Compatibility: Always ensure your home WiFi network is configured to 2.4GHz during the initial setup and for continuous operation, as the system does not support 5GHz.
- Regular Testing: Periodically test your alarm system and all connected sensors to ensure they are functioning correctly. This includes testing the siren, app notifications, and remote control functions.
- Battery Check: Monitor the battery status of your door/window sensors and replace them promptly when a low voltage alert is received to maintain continuous protection.
- App Customization: Utilize the Tuya/Smart Life app to customize accessory names for easier identification of triggered sensors (e.g., "Living Room Motion" or "Kitchen Window").
