4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Network Connectivity
The ML300G supports both 4G LTE CAT1 and 2G GSM networks, ensuring broad compatibility worldwide. This allows for fast and stable tracking performance.

4.2 Positioning Methods
The tracker utilizes multiple positioning systems for accuracy:
- GNSS (GPS+GLONASS+BDS): Provides highly accurate outdoor positioning.
- LBS (Location Based Service): Offers approximate positioning in areas with limited GNSS signal, such as indoors or dense urban environments.
- AGPS (Assisted GPS): Enhances GNSS performance by using network resources to speed up satellite acquisition.

4.3 Real-time Tracking
You can track your device in real-time using the MiCODUS mobile application (iOS & Android) or the web platform (www.micodus.net) on a computer or tablet. The minimum upload interval for location data is 10 seconds.

4.4 Historical Route Playback
The MiCODUS platform stores historical route data for up to 6 months, allowing you to review past movements and analyze driving habits.

4.5 GPS Data Compensation & Blind Area Supplementary
- GPS Data Compensation by Cornering: When the device turns, it uploads denser GPS data to accurately reflect the trajectory, providing a more precise route query.
- GPS Data Supplementary of Network Blind Area: If the device loses network connection, GPS data is saved in its built-in memory. Once the network signal is restored, the saved data is automatically uploaded to the tracking server, ensuring no data loss.

4.6 Multiple Working Modes
The ML300G offers various working modes to optimize battery life based on your tracking needs:
- Tracking Mode: GPS ON, Network Connected. Enters sleep mode after 5 minutes of static. (Approx. 4-6 days battery life)
- Power Saving Mode: GPS OFF, Network Connected. Uploads data at specific intervals. (Approx. 7-10 days battery life)
- Hibernation Mode: GPS OFF, Network Disconnected. Uploads data at specific intervals. Only a tamper alarm can wake up the device. (Approx. 15-20 days battery life)

4.7 Alarm Functions
The ML300G provides several anti-theft and safety alarm functions:
- Vibration Alarm: Triggers upon detecting significant vibration.
- Displacement Alarm: Alerts if the device moves beyond a set distance.
- Low Battery Alarm: Notifies when the battery level is critically low.
- Geo-fence Alarm: Sends an alert if the device enters or exits a predefined geographical area.
- Teardown Alarm: Activates if the device is removed or tampered with.
- Overspeed Alarm: Alerts if the tracked object exceeds a set speed limit.

4.8 Magnetic Attachment
The ML300G features a super strong magnetic base for easy and secure installation on metallic surfaces, requiring no professional tools.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Charging and Battery Care
- Use only the provided Type-C USB cable for charging.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures during charging.
- For optimal battery longevity, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
- The built-in 3.7V 2500mAh Li-ion battery provides approximately 4-6 days in Tracking Mode, 7-10 days in Power Saving Mode, and 10-15 days in Hibernate Mode.

5.2 Waterproof Rating
The ML300G has an IP65 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. This ensures stable operation in various environmental conditions.

6. Troubleshooting
Device stopped working / SIM expired
If your device stops working or you receive an 'expired' message, especially after using a 3G SIM, consider the following:
- SIM Card Validity: Ensure your SIM card is active and has a valid data plan. Many plans have expiry dates or data limits.
- Network Compatibility: Verify that your SIM card and the local network still support 3G. With the rollout of 4G and 5G, some regions are phasing out 3G networks. The ML300G supports 4G LTE CAT1 and 2G GSM/GPRS. If your SIM is 3G-only and 3G is no longer available, it will not work. Consider upgrading to a 4G compatible SIM card.
- Data Balance: Check if your SIM card has sufficient data balance. Even if active, lack of data will prevent tracking.
General Issues
- No Signal: Ensure the device is in an area with good network coverage. If indoors, try moving it closer to a window or outdoors.
- Inaccurate Positioning: In areas with weak GNSS signals (e.g., dense urban areas, indoors), LBS positioning may be used, which is less accurate. Move the device to an open-sky area for better GNSS accuracy.
- Device Not Responding: Try turning the device off and then on again. If the issue persists, ensure the battery is charged.
