3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Wired Connection (Plug and Play)

1. Connect the USB cable to the scanner's charging port.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into an available USB port on your computer.
3. The scanner will be automatically recognized by your operating system (Windows, Android, iOS, Linux) without needing additional drivers.
4. The scanner is now ready for use in wired mode.

3.2 2.4G Wireless Connection

1. Locate the 2.4G USB receiver included in the package.
2. Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
3. The computer will automatically install the necessary drivers.
4. Turn on the barcode scanner. It should automatically pair with the USB receiver.
5. The scanner is now ready for wireless use. The wireless range is up to 30 meters.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Scanning Modes

The KEFAR KR-S8 scanner supports both Manual Scan Mode and Automatic Scan Mode. You can switch between these modes by scanning specific configuration barcodes found in the included quick start guide or by referring to the image below:

• Manual Scan Mode: Press the trigger button to activate the scanner and read a barcode.

4.2 Scanning Barcodes

Point the scanner's window at the barcode you wish to read. Ensure the red scanning line covers the entire barcode. A successful scan will be indicated by a beep and the data appearing on your connected device.

• Paper Barcodes: The scanner can easily identify various 1D and 2D barcodes printed on paper.
• Screen Barcodes: The KR-S8 is capable of scanning barcodes displayed on digital screens, such as mobile phones or computer monitors.

4.3 Inventory Mode

The scanner features an inventory mode that allows you to scan and store up to 5000 barcodes internally. This is useful for collecting data without being constantly connected to a host device.
