2. Safety Instructions

Please read and understand all safety instructions before installation and use to prevent injury or damage.

  • Warning: The charging station must be properly grounded (PE).
  • Warning: Do not place flammable, explosive, combustible materials, chemicals, combustible vapors, or other hazardous materials near the charging station.
  • Warning: Keep the charging plug head clean and dry. If dirty, wipe it with a clean and dry cloth. It is strictly forbidden to touch the charging plug core by hand when it is charged.
  • Warning: Do not use the charging station if the charging plug or cable is defective, cracked, worn, broken, or if the charging cable is exposed.
  • Warning: Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the charging station. Improper operation may cause damage, water leakage, electrical leakage, short circuit, electric shock, and other risks. Contact qualified personnel for repairs.
  • Warning: Use with caution during thunderstorms.
  • Warning: Children should not approach or use the charging station during the charging process to avoid electric shock.
  • Warning: Do not drive the car while it is charging. Charging should only occur when the car is stationary. For hybrid cars, turn off the engine before charging.
  • Warning: In case of emergency, immediately press the emergency stop button to cut off all input and output power.

The use of the charging post is prohibited in the following cases. Contact the manufacturer immediately:

  • Bad charging station shell.
  • Charging cable on the charging station is damaged, cracked, frayed, or broken.
  • Lightning strikes the charging station.
  • Accidents or fires near charging stations.
  • Water in the charging station.
  • The length of the charging cable is not sufficient to connect to the car, and an extension cable is needed (extension cables are not recommended).

4. Installation and Operation Instructions

4.1. Pre-use Preparation

  1. Ensure there are no open flames around the equipment and that the surrounding space is not blocked.
  2. Ensure the equipment casing and charging cable are not damaged.
  3. Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
  4. Make sure the emergency stop button is popped up. If it has been pressed, rotate the button clockwise to turn it back.

4.2. Installation Steps

  1. Step 1: Mount the Metal Bracket
    According to the position of the holes on the metal back mounting bracket, use an electric drill to create holes in the wall. Refer to the provided height diagram to determine the optimal installation height. Insert expansion tubes into the holes, then use long screws to secure the metal mounting bracket to the wall.
  2. Step 2: Hang the Charger
    After fixing the metal bracket to the wall, hang the charger onto the bracket. Use screws to fix the metal bracket underneath the charger to the wall for added security.
  3. Step 3: Install Charging Plug Holder
    Install the charging plug holder in the position shown in the provided diagrams.
  4. Step 4: Connect Power Supply
    Connect the power supply and ensure the charger works properly.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Charging Steps

  1. Standby Status: When the charging station is in standby mode, the LCD interface will display that the device is ready for charging. The indicator light (for Wi-Fi function only) will be green and always on.
  2. Waiting for Card Swipe Status: Park your car, take the charging plug from its holder, set the desired charging current (if applicable), and insert the plug into the electric vehicle's connector. Ensure the plug is securely inserted. The device will then enter identity verification status.
  3. Start-up Device: Use an RFID card to authorize the charging station.
  4. Start Charging: Once authorized, the device will begin charging, and the interface will display the charging status and information parameters. The indicator light will show a green breathing effect.
  5. Stop Charging: The charging station will automatically stop charging when the vehicle is fully charged. In an emergency, press the emergency stop button. An RFID card can also be used to stop charging.

5.2. Key Operation Instructions

The control panel features buttons for various settings:

  • Adjust Charging Current: When the charging plug is not inserted, press button 'A' on the panel to adjust the charging current. The 7.6kW and 22kW versions allow current settings of 8-10-13-16-20-25-32A. The 11kW version allows 8-10-13-16A.
  • Set Delay Time Charging: Touch button 'D' to set a delayed charging start time (0-15 hours). The charger will start after the set delay.
  • Set Timing Charging: Touch button 'T' to set a charging duration (0-15 hours). The charger will stop after the set time.

5.3. Accessing the Menu Page

Long press any button for 5 seconds to enter the settings page. For RFID-enabled versions, you may also need to swipe an RFID card after the long press.

Menu Navigation: Use the panel icons for upward, downward, enter, and back to navigate and adjust menu parameters. Note: The charging plug must be unplugged to access the charging plan and load balance settings.

5.4. Dynamic Load Balancing (DLB Function Model Only)

The DLB function helps manage household energy consumption. A sensor installed on the main circuit measures real-time total current. The Wallbox adjusts or stops charging based on household energy usage to prevent overload.

  • If household appliances' current is ≥8A, the Wallbox intelligently adjusts charging current.
  • If household appliances' current is <8A, the Wallbox stops charging.

Users can set the total safety current (20A to 99A) at the Wallbox based on the actual input household total safety current.

5.5. How to Use the App (WiFi and Bluetooth Models)

  1. Download the "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" app from your mobile phone's app store.
  2. Open the app, enable WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone.
  3. Select "Add Device" and follow the in-app instructions to complete the new device setup.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your EV charger.

  • Keep the charging plug head clean and dry.
  • Regularly inspect the charging cable for any signs of damage, cracks, fraying, or exposed wires.
  • Ensure the equipment casing is intact and free from damage.
  • Clean the exterior of the charging station with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure the area around the charging station is clear of debris and obstructions to allow for proper air circulation and heat dissipation.

  3. If voltage is less than 85V for a long time, contact the local power supply department.
  4. If the electrical system voltage in your home is over 85V, contact us.
Over Current AC input current is too high
  1. Cut off the power of the charger's power distribution box immediately.
  2. Check the charging plug for foreign objects and the car's on-board charger for abnormalities.
  3. After troubleshooting, reconnect power. If fault persists, contact us.
Over TEMP Charger internal temperature greater than 85°C
  1. Check for heat-generating equipment or devices next to the charging station; ensure ambient temperature is below 50°C.
  2. If problem persists, contact us.
Elec Leakage Leakage greater than specified values (TypeA: AC20mA/AC30mA, TypeB: AC30mA+DC6mA)
  1. Cut off power immediately.
  2. Check charging plug for foreign objects and car for electrical leakage.
  3. After troubleshooting, reset leakage protector, reconnect power. If fault persists, contact us.

  • Vehicle Compatibility: This charger is compatible with a wide range of electric vehicles, including models from Mercedes, Land Rover, Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mini, Volvo, Hyundai, Smart, Renault, Tesla, Kia, Toyota, Citroen, Mahindra, Jaguar, Morgan, and BYD. Always check your vehicle's charging port type (e.g., Type 2) for compatibility.
  • Emergency Stop: The charger is equipped with an emergency stop button. Use it immediately if any abnormal operation or safety concern arises during charging.
  • Waterproof Rating: With an IP65 rating for the plug and IP66 for the charger box, the device is designed for indoor/outdoor use in various weather conditions, including sun and rain.
  • App Control without WiFi: For initial setup or when WiFi is unavailable, the app can connect via Bluetooth within 10 meters. Note that the first-time connection via hotspot may require a SIM card signal.
