3. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the performance and safety of your inverter. Please follow these guidelines carefully.
3.1 Pre-Installation Considerations

- Total Power of Appliances: Ensure the total power of electrical appliances in use does not exceed the inverter's rated power.
- Inductive Loads: For appliances with inductive loads (e.g., air conditioners, refrigerators, induction cookers, water pumps), their starting power can be up to 3 times their rated power. Account for this when sizing your system.
- Solar Panel Voltage: The solar panel connected to the inverter must meet the following requirements:
- Open circuit voltage (Voc) of PV modules should not exceed the PV array open circuit voltage of the inverter.
- Open circuit voltage (Voc) of PV modules should be higher than the minimum battery voltage.
Example for 250W 30V solar panel: It is recommended to connect 10-13 pieces.
- Cable Specifications: Use cable specifications that meet the requirements for solar panel, battery, and mains connections. Refer to the full manual for detailed specifications.
- Circuit Breakers: A circuit breaker must be connected before the solar panels, batteries, and mains electricity are connected to the inverter. Refer to the full manual for detailed specifications.
3.2 Wiring Diagram
The following diagram illustrates a typical system setup for the hybrid solar inverter.

3.3 Dual AC Output
The inverter features dual AC outputs: Primary and Secondary.

4. Operating Modes
The ANERN Hybrid Solar Inverter offers flexible charging and output modes to meet various application requirements.

4.1 Charging Modes
Three charging modes are possible:
- Priority Solar Energy: The system prioritizes charging from solar panels.
- Solar + Utility at the same time: The system uses both solar energy and utility power for charging.
- Solar Charge Battery ONLY: Only solar energy is used to charge the battery.
4.2 Output Modes
Two output modes are available to meet diverse power needs:
- Solar Priority Output, then Utility: The inverter prioritizes power from solar panels, then switches to utility power if solar is insufficient.
- Solar Priority Output, then Battery, finally Electricity Suppliers: The inverter prioritizes solar power, then draws from the battery, and finally uses utility power if both solar and battery are insufficient.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your inverter.
- Cleaning: Keep the inverter's vents and surfaces clean and free from dust. The built-in anti-dust kit helps, but periodic cleaning is still recommended, especially in harsh environments.
- Connections: Periodically check all electrical connections for tightness and signs of corrosion.
- Environment: Ensure the operating environment maintains the specified temperature and humidity ranges to prevent damage.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website or the WiFi monitoring app for any available firmware updates to improve performance and add features.
6. Troubleshooting
This section provides basic troubleshooting steps for common issues. For more complex problems, please contact customer support.
6.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- Inverter not turning on: Check the power on/off switch, battery connections, and input power sources (solar, utility).
- No AC output: Verify that the main and second output connections are secure. Check for overload or short circuit conditions.
- Battery not charging: Ensure solar panels are receiving adequate sunlight and are correctly connected. Check the MPPT controller status on the LCD display.
- Error codes on LCD: Refer to the full user manual for a list of specific error codes and their corresponding troubleshooting steps.
- WiFi connection issues: Ensure the optional WiFi module is correctly installed and within range of your network. Check network settings on your monitoring device.
