7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Huepar LM100A, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Device does not power on Low battery or device malfunction. Charge the battery fully. If the issue persists, contact support.
Inaccurate measurements Dirty laser lens, incorrect reference point, or unsuitable measuring conditions (e.g., highly reflective surfaces, strong sunlight). Clean the laser lens. Ensure the correct reference point is selected. Use a target plate in challenging conditions.
Laser beam not visible Strong ambient light or laser cut-off. Use in lower light conditions or use a target plate. The laser automatically cuts off after 20 seconds of inactivity.
Device shuts down unexpectedly Automatic shutdown due to inactivity or low battery. Charge the battery. The device automatically shuts down after 150 seconds of inactivity to save power.

8. User Tips

  • For best accuracy, especially over long distances, ensure the device is stable. Using a tripod (via the 1/4"-20 mount) is highly recommended.
  • Always select the correct reference point (front, middle, or rear) based on your measurement needs to avoid errors.
  • In bright outdoor conditions or when measuring to highly reflective/non-reflective surfaces, using a target plate can significantly improve measurement accuracy and range.
  • Keep the laser lens clean to prevent inaccurate readings.
  • Utilize the continuous measurement mode for quickly finding maximum and minimum distances, which is useful for diagonal measurements or fitting objects.
