7.2 General Care

  • Wipe the exterior of the feeder with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Regularly check the feed bin for any signs of moisture or mold, especially if using different types of food.
  • Ensure the sealing top cover and grain outlet are free from debris to maintain moisture protection.

8. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Feeder not dispensing food Low battery, feed bin empty, feed jammed, incorrect settings. Check battery level and replace if necessary. Refill feed bin. Check for blockages in the spiral mechanism and clear if found. Verify feeding schedule and portion settings.
Food getting wet/moldy Sealing cover not properly closed, high humidity, damaged seal. Ensure the sealing top cover is closed tightly. Check the grain outlet for proper closure. Store the feeder in a less humid environment if possible. Inspect seals for damage.
LCD display not working Low or dead batteries. Replace all 3 AA batteries with new ones.

9. User Tips

  • **Small Portions:** The feeder is capable of dispensing very small amounts, such as 2-3 pellets per serving, making it suitable for single fish like Bettas.
  • **Battery Life:** With 3 AA batteries, the feeder can operate for approximately 4 months, reducing the frequency of battery changes.
  • **Flexible Scheduling:** You can program the feeder to dispense food not just daily, but also every other day, providing flexibility for different fish species' needs or vacation schedules.
  • **Quiet Operation:** The feeder operates at a low noise level (20-30dB), ensuring it won't disturb your household or your fish.
