Setup
This section provides general guidance for setting up your TINY WING 450X V2. Specific assembly steps may vary depending on whether you purchased the KIT, PNP, or RTF version.
1. Assembly (KIT Version)
For the KIT version, assembly of components such as the motor, ESC, servos, flight controller (FC), and FPV system (VTX, camera) is required. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly oriented according to component manuals.

Figure 2: Detailed view of FPV, PNP, and RTF component installations, including motor and camera.
2. FPV System Installation
The upgraded V2 version includes an FPV plastic hood. It features a dual 20x20mm mounting seat, allowing for the installation of a recording module (e.g., Caddx recording). Ensure the camera (e.g., RunCam micro swift 3) and Video Transmitter (VTX) are securely mounted and wired correctly.

3. Battery Installation
A 7.4V 450mAh 2S LiPo battery is recommended (not included in KIT/PNP versions). Ensure the battery is fully charged before flight and securely placed in the designated compartment.
4. Center of Gravity (CG)
Proper Center of Gravity (CG) is crucial for stable flight. Refer to the diagram below for the recommended CG position. Adjust battery placement or add small weights if necessary to achieve the correct balance.

Figure 4: Center of Gravity (CG) diagram. The CG is approximately 112mm from the nose.
5. Transmitter Binding (RTF/PNP)
For RTF versions, the transmitter (e.g., LDARC X6) should be pre-bound. For PNP versions, you will need to bind your own compatible receiver and transmitter according to their respective manuals.
Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the flight modes and controls before your first flight.
1. Pre-Flight Check
- Ensure battery is fully charged and securely installed.
- Check all control surfaces (elevons) for free movement and correct response to transmitter inputs.
- Verify propeller is securely attached and free from damage.
- Confirm FPV system (if installed) is functioning and transmitting video.
2. Launching (Auto Throw Fly)
The TINY WING 450X V2 supports an 'Auto Throw Fly' feature. To launch, push the throttle to 70-100% and throw the airplane horizontally. The flight controller will assist in stabilizing the aircraft after launch.

Figure 5: Auto throw launch in progress.
3. Flight Modes
- Auto Throw Fly: Initiates flight with a horizontal throw and throttle.
- Fixed Altitude Flight: Maintains a stable altitude, simplifying control.
- ANGLE Mode: Allows the plane to fly in attitude, providing more direct control over pitch and roll.
- FPV Fly: Utilizes the onboard camera and video transmitter for immersive first-person flight experience.

4. LED Indicators
The aircraft features LED indicators to show its current status:
- Red Light (Dis-ARM): Indicates the motors are disarmed.
- Blue Light (Manual): Indicates manual flight mode.
- Green Light (Self Level): Indicates self-leveling mode (fixed altitude).
- Green Flashing (Mix Level): Indicates a mixed flight mode or specific status.

5. FPV Flight
For FPV flight, ensure your FPV goggles or monitor are properly set up and receiving video from the aircraft's VTX. Fly within visual line of sight or with a spotter if local regulations require it.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your TINY WING 450X V2.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the EPP foam body with a soft, damp cloth after use to remove dirt and debris.
- Propeller Inspection: Regularly check the propeller for cracks, chips, or bends. Replace damaged propellers immediately to prevent vibration and motor strain.
- Motor & ESC: Ensure the motor spins freely and the ESC connections are secure. Avoid flying in dusty or sandy conditions that could damage the motor.
- Battery Care: Always charge LiPo batteries with a compatible charger. Do not overcharge or over-discharge. Store batteries at a storage voltage (typically 3.8V per cell) when not in use for extended periods.
- Control Surfaces: Check the elevons and servo linkages for any looseness or damage. Ensure smooth and precise movement.
- EPP Foam Repair: Minor damage to the EPP foam can often be repaired using foam-safe glue.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your RC airplane.
- Aircraft not responding to controls: Check transmitter battery, receiver connection, and ensure the aircraft is armed (if applicable). Re-bind transmitter and receiver if necessary.
- Poor flight stability: Verify the Center of Gravity (CG) is correct. Check for damaged control surfaces or loose components. Ensure flight controller settings are appropriate for the aircraft.
- Motor not spinning: Check battery connection, ESC connection to motor and flight controller, and propeller for obstructions. Ensure the motor is armed.
- No FPV video: Check camera and VTX connections. Ensure VTX is powered and on the correct frequency/channel as your receiver.
- Short flight time: Ensure battery is fully charged and healthy. Check for excessive drag or inefficient propeller.
