4. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Once the DX05 is securely attached and the depth stop is set, activate your rotary hammer. The dust extractor will automatically engage with the tool.
  2. Drilling: Begin drilling into the concrete surface. The DX05 will capture concrete dust as you drill.
  3. Post-Drilling Suction: After releasing the trigger of the rotary hammer, the dust extractor will continue to operate for approximately 3 seconds to ensure all remaining dust is captured.
  4. Monitor Dust Container: Periodically check the transparent dust container to monitor its fullness.

5. Maintenance

  1. Emptying the Dust Container: When the transparent dust container appears full, press the quick-release button to detach it from the main unit. Empty the collected dust into an appropriate waste receptacle.
  2. Filter Cleaning: The DX05 includes an on-board filter cleaning mechanism. Refer to the specific instructions provided with the product for operating this mechanism to maintain optimum suction efficiency. Regularly clean the HEPA filter to ensure peak performance.
  3. Reassembly: After emptying and cleaning, securely reattach the dust container to the DX05 unit.
  4. Storage: Store the DX05 in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Reduced Suction: If you experience reduced suction, check the dust container for fullness and empty it if necessary. Ensure the HEPA filter is clean; use the filter cleaning mechanism or manually clean as per instructions. Verify that the attachment is securely connected to the rotary hammer.
  • Dust Leakage: Ensure all components, especially the dust container, are properly seated and locked. Check for any cracks or damage to the housing or seals.
  • Attachment Not Activating: Confirm that the DX05 is correctly attached to a compatible rotary hammer (XRH12) and that the rotary hammer itself is functioning correctly.
