Setup Guide

1. Battery Installation (Wireless Remote)

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the wireless remote.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the provided CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Attaching Your Camera to the Grip

  1. Ensure your camera has a 1/4"-20 tripod socket.
  2. Align the camera's tripod socket with the 1/4"-20 stud on the top of the shooting grip.
  3. Use the thumbwheel located on the grip to securely tighten the camera onto the stud. Ensure it is firm but do not overtighten.

3. Pairing the Wireless Remote with Your Camera

  1. Turn on your Fujifilm camera.
  2. Navigate to the camera's Bluetooth settings menu. (Refer to your camera's manual for exact menu location, typically under 'Connection Settings' or 'Wireless Settings').
  3. Select the option to 'Pair with a new device' or 'Bluetooth Pairing'.
  4. On the JJC wireless remote, slide the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position.
  5. Press and hold the 'Pairing Button' on the remote until the indicator light starts blinking, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  6. On your camera, select the detected remote (e.g., 'BTR-F1') to complete the pairing process.
  7. Once paired, the indicator light on the remote will stop blinking and remain solid, and your camera will confirm the connection.

Operating Instructions

Using the Wireless Remote:

  • Shutter Button: Press halfway to focus, press fully to take a photo.
  • Movie Recording Button: Press to start or stop video recording.
  • W (Zoom Out) Button: Press to zoom out (requires compatible power zoom lens and camera firmware).
  • T (Zoom In) Button: Press to zoom in (requires compatible power zoom lens and camera firmware).
  • ON/OFF Switch: Slides to turn the remote on or off.

Note: The power zoom function currently works with FUJI. XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ (with Ver. 1.10 firmware update) and XF 18-120mm f/4 LM PZ WR lenses.

Using as a Hand Grip:

Fold the tripod legs together to use the device as a comfortable hand grip for stable handheld shooting. The anti-slip handle enhances your hold.

Using as a Mini Tripod:

Spread the tripod legs to place the camera on a flat surface for stable shots, self-portraits, or time-lapses. The silicone pads underneath the legs provide additional stability.

Adjusting Camera Angle:

The grip features a full 360° pan range and a 180° tilting head, allowing you to adjust your camera to various angles for optimal shooting. Simply loosen the adjustment knob, position your camera, and tighten the knob to secure it.

Lanyard for Added Security:

Attach the included lanyard to the grip for extra security, especially when using it as a hand grip, to prevent accidental drops.

Maintenance

  • Keep the grip and remote clean by wiping with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Store in the provided storage pouch when not in use to protect from dust and scratches.
  • If the remote control's range or responsiveness decreases, consider replacing the CR2032 battery.

Troubleshooting

Remote Control Not Pairing:

  • Ensure the remote's battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge.
  • Make sure the remote's ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Verify that your camera's firmware is up to date, especially for models X-H2S, X-H2, X-T5, X-T4, X-T3, X-T30 II, X-T30, and X-S10.
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your camera.
  • Try resetting the Bluetooth settings on your camera and re-attempt the pairing process.
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices interfering with the connection.

Zoom Function Not Working:

  • Confirm that your lens is a compatible power zoom lens (e.g., FUJI. XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ with Ver. 1.10 firmware update or XF 18-120mm f/4 LM PZ WR lenses).
  • Ensure your camera's firmware is updated to the latest version.
