Operating Instructions
Night Vision Modes
The camera features three night vision modes, utilizing built-in infrared lights and three warning type LED lights:
- Auto Mode: Under low light conditions, when motion is detected, the camera's LED lights will automatically turn on, providing full-color night vision. If no motion is detected, the lights will turn off, and the image will revert to black and white night vision.
- Light Off Mode: The LED lights remain off, and the camera provides black and white infrared night vision.
- Light On Mode: The three LED lights remain continuously on, providing full-color night vision at all times during low light.

Motion Detection and Alarm Notification
The camera is equipped with motion detection and AI humanoid detection capabilities. When movement or image changes are detected, the camera will:
- Record video footage of the event.
- Send an alarm message notification to your connected mobile device via the "xiaovv" app.
The AI humanoid detection function helps to intelligently analyze human outlines, reducing false alarms caused by pets, swaying branches, or other non-human movements.

Two-way Audio
With a built-in high-power loudspeaker and high-sensitivity microphone, the camera supports real-time two-way audio communication. This allows you to speak to visitors or deter intruders directly through the camera using your smartphone app, whether you are indoors or outdoors.

Video Storage Methods
The camera offers multiple options for storing your video recordings:
- Micro SD Card: Supports up to 128GB capacity. Insert a compatible Micro SD card into the hidden SD card slot on the camera.
- Cloud Storage: A safe and convenient option that helps prevent video loss. Refer to the "xiaovv" app for details on cloud storage plans and activation.
The camera utilizes H.265 video encoding, which optimizes encoding quality, resulting in faster, clearer, and smoother video recording. This advanced encoding technology can save up to 50% on video storage space and reduce bandwidth occupancy compared to older H.264 encoding.

Maintenance
- Clean the Lens: Regularly wipe the camera lens with a soft, clean cloth to ensure clear image quality. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the lens.
- Check Connections: Periodically inspect the power cable and any other connections for wear or damage. Ensure they are securely plugged in.
- Firmware Updates: Check the "xiaovv" app for available firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.
- SD Card Management: If using a Micro SD card, consider formatting it periodically through the app to maintain performance and prevent data corruption. Back up important recordings before formatting.
- Environmental Check: Although IP65 rated, ensure the camera is not exposed to extreme conditions beyond its operating temperature range (-10°C to +50°C) or prolonged submersion.
Troubleshooting
- Camera Not Connecting to Wi-Fi:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4Ghz (5Ghz is not supported).
- Check that the Wi-Fi password entered in the app is correct.
- Verify the camera is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Try moving it closer temporarily.
- Restart your Wi-Fi router and the camera.
- Poor Image Quality:
- Clean the camera lens.
- Ensure there are no obstructions in the camera's field of view.
- Check your Wi-Fi signal strength; a weak signal can affect streaming quality.
- Motion Detection Not Working or Too Sensitive:
- Adjust motion detection sensitivity settings within the "xiaovv" app.
- Ensure the camera's view is not obstructed by moving objects like tree branches or flags if they are causing false alarms.
- Verify that alarm notifications are enabled in the app and on your phone's settings.
- Two-way Audio Issues:
- Ensure your phone's microphone and speaker are enabled for the "xiaovv" app.
- Check the volume settings on both your phone and within the app.
- Minimize background noise for clearer communication.
- SD Card Not Recording:
- Ensure the Micro SD card is inserted correctly.
- Check if the SD card is full; format it if necessary (after backing up data).
- Verify that recording to SD card is enabled in the app settings.
- Try a different Micro SD card to rule out card malfunction.
User Tips
- Optimal Placement: For best motion detection and coverage, position the camera at a height of 2-3 meters (6-10 feet) and angle it to cover entry points or areas of interest.
- Regular App Checks: Periodically open the "xiaovv" app to check live view, review recordings, and ensure the camera is functioning as expected.
- Secure Your Wi-Fi: Always use a strong, unique password for your Wi-Fi network to protect your camera and home network from unauthorized access.
- Power Stability: Use a stable power source. If power outages are common, consider a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) for continuous operation, though this camera is not battery-powered.
