5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or sprays.
- Environment: Ensure the device is operated within the specified working temperature and humidity ranges (-20℃ to +70℃, 40% ~ 80% RH). Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or moisture.
- Connections: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
- Firmware Updates: Keep the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app updated to ensure the best performance and access to new features. The app will usually notify you of any available firmware updates for the device.
6. Troubleshooting
- Device not connecting to WiFi:
- Ensure your WiFi network is 2.4GHz. The module does not support 5GHz networks.
- Verify that your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled during the pairing process.
- Double-check your WiFi password for accuracy.
- Make sure your router is not blocking new devices (MAC-open).
- Try resetting the device by holding the reset button for 10 seconds until the red light blinks rapidly, then attempt pairing again.
- Remote control not working:
- Ensure the remote control is properly paired with the module. Refer to the 'Remote Control Pairing' section and video.
- Check the battery in the remote control.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the module.
- Voice control not responding:
- Verify that the module is successfully linked to your Alexa or Google Home account via the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app.
- Check your internet connection.
- Ensure your voice commands are clear and match the device names configured in the app.
- Output voltage concerns: The module acts as a switch for the input voltage. If you provide DC 12V input, the outputs will switch DC 12V. If you provide DC 24V input, the outputs will switch DC 24V. Ensure your connected devices are compatible with the input voltage supplied to the module.
7. User Tips
- Verify Voltage: Always double-check the input voltage (DC 12V or DC 24V) before connecting the module to ensure it matches your power supply and the requirements of the devices you intend to control.
- Secure WiFi: For optimal performance and security, ensure your 2.4GHz WiFi network is stable and password-protected.
